Meet Vedder Gabriel Ellis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vedder Gabriel Ellis.

10-year-old Vedder has performed with:
-Thirty Seconds to Mars
-Brad Paisley
-Stone Temple Pilots
-Chris Stapleton
-Green Day
-Kenny Chesney (on stage not singing)
-Played tambourine for the Gin Blossoms

Jared Leto called him “a born lead singer.” Brad Paisley told him to, “go home and write some songs, so I don’t have to do this anymore.” Chris Stapleton and his wife Morgane said: “Vedder never stops.”

Vedder’s passion for music began before he could talk.
Vedder got his name from the nurses in the au, a vice NICU at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. They couldn’t figure out where the humming was coming from, well it was our son singing away in his crib, so we named him Vedder.

Vedder was really sick when he was born. He had Necrotizing EnteroColitis or (NEC), and the doctors gave him a 30% chance of survival. It was a miracle he survived on IV fluids and lullaby renditions of GREEN DAY, NIRVANA and SMASHING PUMPKINS that was playing 24-7 for two weeks above his hospital crib.

Since his birth, he has never stopped singing. He has been humming melodies way before he could ever speak. Vedder has a photographic memory and commits lyrics to memory in minutes. His library of covers is well above 700. He enjoys reading and creative writing as well as his primary passion for MUSIC.

He is self-motivated and a creative spirit dedicating an average of three hours per day to music. Outside of music, Vedder is a normal kid who enjoys playing with his twin sister Winter, basketball, and his trampoline, but never without music playing.

Vedder has little interest in gaming or television. His favorite artist of all time are Chris Cornell, Jared Leto, Chris Stapleton, Foo Fighters, Guns N’ Roses, Greta Van Fleet, Green Day, Led Zeppelin to name a few.

He also is donating all the money from his original music on iTunes and Spotify to clean water projects with Charity: Water Vedder’s original music is available on all platforms with messages of anti-bullying and gun control themes.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’m just being myself. Music lives in my veins, I’ll never stop.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
