Meet Trailblazer Dr. Linda Khoshaba

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Linda Khoshaba.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Dr. Khoshaba. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Since growing up in a socialized health care system, I grew up frustrated with the medical solutions and treatments available to my family and I. I wanted to take control of my health and feel empowered to make healthy decisions that could prevent illness and disease and allow me to live a healthy and vibrant life. I always had a passion to combine health promotion and medicine and this is was the driving factor which leads me to become a Naturopathic Physician.

Has it been a smooth road?
A FUN road, although not smooth. Of course, challenges come up such as time, finances, energy, motivation and commitment to something bigger. Days seem long but the years flew by during the course of study.

Advice- keep going, take one day at a time, one course at a time and TAKE care of yourself during the way. Eat healthy, exercise and sleep as much as you can! Also, surround yourself with people who see your vision and keep you motivated! Breathe! And of course, pray.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I’m a Naturopathic physician who specializes in Natural Endocrinology. I help people with Thyroid, Female or Male hormone imbalances and Adrenal dysfunction. I am really interested in how the endocrine system bridges with the cardiovascular system and how we can naturally reverse diseases such as metabolic syndrome, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia by focusing on the root causes of diseases and inflammation.

I focus on the root cause, help a patient understand WHY they feel the way they do and HELP them with a PLAN to get optimal health. I spend time and care for my patients because their success is my success.

Do you feel like there was something about the experiences you had growing up that played an outsized role in setting you up for success later in life?
When I grew up and had to go to the doctor, I felt disappointed because I did not feel heard or did not have a solution that seemed practical. I was not told what food or activity could help me heal, instead, I was given a prescription with the intention that this would solve the problem. This made me frustrated and with this, I was able to make a career out of this to help others who feel the same to know there are many options and we can create an individualized plan that focuses on lifestyle and prevention measures and to understand how the body works together to make it work optimally.
