Meet Trailblazer Diazhane Warren

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diazhane Warren.

Diazhane, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I didn’t know what I wanted to do once I graduated high school, well, let me rephrase that, I did know but as I started to maneuver my way through college, I changed my mind. I was so confused on what interested me, finally, I sat down with my nail tech and lash tech and they helped me realize that I wanted to get into the beauty industry. My mom was in the military and has a million degrees, so the college route was pretty much the next step after high school. Once I told her I wasn’t feeling it, she told me I needed to have a plan and what did I need to do. Since then, she’s been with me every step of the way.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Has my life had any struggles? Well, of course, from finances to relationships, to mentally/physically. I’m blessed to say I have an awesome mom, honestly, my best friend that makes sh*t happen. No matter what the circumstances, she always comes through for me. But at the same time, she has to let me experience things on my own and as I’ve gotten older, she has.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about AestheticsbyDia – what should we know?
Currently, I work at Dutch bros coffee. I plan to work here for about four more months, I’ve been with the company for going on three years. After I graduate from beauty school, I am going to go into business with my lash technician and she is going to train me and teach me everything she has to know! Her IG is jblashartistry, by the way, if you’re looking to get your lashes done.

So much of the media coverage is focused on the challenges facing women today, but what about the opportunities? Do you feel there are any opportunities that women are particularly well positioned for?
Women are the backbone of everything in my opinion. Women have been through so much and will continue to go through so much! Women of color in particular. So many opportunities for women are available but also so many factors play into the opportunities. Women can do anything, and that’s the facts.
