Meet Trailblazer Carle Sargent

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carle Sargent.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Carle. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started organizing four years ago via a friend recognizing my abilities to maintain a home all while having small children. With my background and degree being from the service industry I quickly fell in love with this type of work. I love hands-on hard work, helping people in their homes, gaining their trust with their most vulnerable spaces, and helping them to create functional systems to obtain maintainable organization within their life.

Last year, I decided it was time to step out on my comfort zone, trust my skill set and abilities and start my own full service organizing company. I started Sort It is September 2019.

I love what I am doing and have big goals for the next upcoming year!

Has it been a smooth road?
So far, it has been pretty smooth sailing. The biggest challenges have been believing in my skill set, navigating through social media as a marketing tool and nailing down a specific direction and target audience.

Please tell us more about what you do, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I specialize in the organization of spaces within your home or business, bringing peace and calmness to chaos. I first take into account the specific needs and lifestyle of each client. Gaining their trust, combined with my knowledge of organizing solutions, I am able to then help them create solutions that are independently sustainable. These solutions are not maintained without a little time and effort, but if followed consistently they can help bring greater simplicity to this fast-paced hustle and bustle everyone is trying to manage.

Finding a mentor and building a network are often cited in studies as a major factor impacting one’s success. Do you have any advice or lessons to share regarding finding a mentor or networking in general?
Having people to call upon that have experience in the industry has helped me tremendously. Just like any other challenge, you may be facing in your life, discussing with another person can help you both to feel supported and arrive at a great solution. One of my favorite things about this job has been my collaboration with other amazing and talented people in our community.
