Meet Tialyn John

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tialyn John.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Throughout high school and college, I loved photography! My senior year of college, I decided to sell my camera to pay for my wedding photos, as it was time to get a “big girl job.” Years later, I found that although my camera was out of my hands, my passion was still there. With the encouragement of my husband, I invested in a camera and pursued my love for photography! Ironic that a girl who once sold her camera to pay for her own wedding photos is now a wedding photographer!

Please tell us about your art.
I have a heart for marriage, so it is only natural that I am a wedding photographer. I capture authentic love stories! I want a couple to look at their images 50 years from now and see the passion, romance, and spark that started their legacy of love! I want their grandchildren to look at those same images and see what true lasting love really looks like, in hopes to obtain it one day. There is something about a picture, that has the power to take you back in time. To place you in a moment once forgotten. To bring a smile to your soul or tears to your eyes. Documenting these moments, and giving them to my clients is what I love.

Expanding my service beyond wedding images, I also create blog content to assist brides with wedding planning and have a Wife Life blog series that is a passion project, encouraging wives as they navigate marriage.

Do you have any advice for other artists? Any lessons you wished you learned earlier?
Give yourself Grace. Know that the only failed dream is the one never started.
