Meet Tavit Daniel of Tavits Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tavit Daniel.

Tavit, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I began working as a photographer at the beginning of 2010. Graduating from the prestigious business school at ASUs W.P. Carey, I took the basics of entrepreneurship and launched Tavits Photography LLC in the Summer of 2010.

Over the last 8 years, the brand has become the photography company to have at all of Scottsdale and Tempe’s hottest spots such as El Hefe Scottsdale, Wasted Grain, Hifi, Bottled Blonde Nightclubs and many more. Also, I have photographed at some of the biggest festivals around the globe including the famous EDC and Tomorrow World brands. In 2016, I was a part of the Insomniac Official Photo Team for the 20-year anniversary party for EDC Las Vegas. I was also the Director of Photography for the first True Music Festival in Arizona and photographed personally for Kaskade on Halloween 2014. I have been published in The Wall Street Journal, Elektro Magazine, and MIXMAG Magazine.

Beyond nightlife/special events, I provide fun, creative, and consistently high-quality images for a wedding, corporate imagery, and models looking to build their portfolios. Lately, I have been involved with more corporate work and weddings and continue to work with other photographers in Arizona.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The biggest hurdle was quitting my day job and believing in myself. The risk is scary, but if you work hard enough, you can make it. Being a good person and letting your work speak for itself goes a long way.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Tavits Photography started as a hobby but has now grown into something that matters to multiple clients wanting quality over quantity. Our main bread and butter would be covering photography for any category for special events including weddings and corporate work. As the owner, my main goal is to take care of any clients photography need. We are pretty notorious on our turnaround time. I train all of the photographers I work with the importance of this. Clients need content, sometimes immediately. It’s important to understand this and plan a project correctly in order to better serve them in this day and age.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was all over the place. My brain was one-half creative, one-half homebody. I loved being outside having fun, but I also enjoyed being home playing video games and drawing on a sketch pad. I would get into trouble, my mom would attest to this, but overall I didn’t hang with any bad kids. I just did dumb stuff and learned from it. I was always interested in technology, I found it fascinating. I would take apart electronics just for the hell of it to see what the insides looked like and assume what pieces did what. That was fun to me.
