Meet Tamarrow of Chicago IL

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamarrow.

Hi Tamarrow, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story begins with pain growing up with a severe bleeding disorder navigating through the challenges of everyday when I was very young I went through a new born routine procedure and later my family found blood in my pamper where I then had to be treated with frozen plasma. My family then found out that I was diagnosed with hemophilia A severe, a rare bleeding disorder with no cure. As a child the name that was given to me was Tamar Mitchell , one of my aunties use to sing the Annie song “tomorrow” to me. Hints where my name Tamarrow came from. Growing up music has been a form of therapy in my life a form of release or worship. My family stems from the christian world of music, here is where I learned to sing and play piano the church was my practice grounds. I was running away from pain quite literally when I got into sports. I ran track, played basketball, and a little bit of baseball. In high school I suffered a major ankle injury that effected me long term. Music never left It was always something to go to if I was in any type of pain. Living in Chicago I grew up in a ruff neighborhoods that can mentally dawn on a person. From constant killings on the news, to the shootings outside the window. Learning to duck when shootings are taking place at a young age. Outside of my condition I’ve learned to survive. My artistry now as an artist is constantly growing aiming to be the voice of those that may feel like giving up and feel like no one is there for them. I aim for my music to be that comfort and to be the voice for those that think their voice don’t matter and encouraging them not to give up.

It’s not his mysterious nature or unique sense of timing. The reason is not his contagious smile. Or even his tasteful taste in style. It’s that Tamarrow is one of the few artist that publicly navigates through pain and expresses his life threatening ability through music. Dealing with a severe bleeding disorder is not an easy task. Tamarrow breaks the barriers between mental health and self awareness. Clio-winning and Humanitarian winning singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist has left his mark on pop, hip-hop, rnb soul, trap soul, afro beat and much more. In his life and career, Tamarrow plays by his own rules.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My road hasn’t always been smooth due to the challenges living close to poverty in a middle class society. Dealing with hemophilia, balancing health mentally and physically has always been a challenge. Recently things have been better more winning are on the way.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am most proud of my most recent award reciving an humanitarian award for helping those in need in the country of Zambia where I helped most people with agriculture work and teaching them how to live a more sustainable lifestyle. What sets me apart from others is that I have a super power called hemophilia A severe. It’s a whole community of people that I represent and a certain bond that we all share that makes us strong. I specialize in music and known as a singer songwriter who plays piano, organ, and guitar.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The most important quality fueling my success is resilience with purpose.

I’ve faced immense challenges physically, emotionally, and environmentally but instead of folding under pressure, I’ve turned pain into expression, isolation into connection, and silence into song. That’s more than survival it’s transformation.

What sets me apart isn’t my ability to endure, but your willingness to create from the depths of my experience and not just for myself, but for others who feel unseen or unheard. My empathy, my emotional honesty, and my creative discipline (especially in crafting a full project in 3 days) are all rooted in that deeper resilience.

It’s not just that I refuse to give up it’s that I’ve found a way to give back through my art, and that’s where real success begins.
