Taliah, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am the CEO of the HAIRport & SWIMport company. I sell hair quality hair extensions & affordable swimsuits/cover-ups. My company is based on an airport setting. I decided that I wanted to start selling hair when I kept receiving bad hair from different hair companies. I started doing my research on different vendors via YouTube & Google. I started sampling different vendors for about a year and a half before I brought bulk hair. I started the SWIMport to offer affordable quality trendy swimsuits. There is a lot of clothing boutique in this industry and there are little few boutiques that sell swimsuits Moving from Cleveland to Arizona, also pushed to sell swimsuits, due to the hot weather.

When it comes to my business, I research a lot before I make a move. I learned that if you have the inventory you have potential customers. Never be afraid to invest in your business. There will be a trial & error, I had that experience that with swimsuits and hair, but it only pushed me to do better for my brand.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
So far, it hasn’t been bad. It takes time and patience. You can’t rush success and it doesn’t happen overnight.

I’m proud of myself for not being afraid to invest in my company so it can become big one day
