Meet Tabitha Garcia of TabbyKat Piercing Spa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tabitha Garcia.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been apart of the Piercing industry since I was 12 years old with already 8 piercings. Taking it into the Salon/Spa world has been a dream of mine. While opening my first Tattoo/Piercing studio in Ohio, I went to Massage therapy school and really started to see how I could make this Dream happen. 5 years ago my family and I moved to the Valley to start this Dream.

In 2016, with the Opening of TabbyKat Piercing Spa inside a Salon Suite, I was able to show another way Piercings could be offered. With also being a licensed medical professional, I was now in my own studio offering Safe Piercings in an inviting atmosphere that even parents were bringing there children in for piercings.

In 2018, Public Image Salon in downtown Phoenix found my Piercing Spa and we decided that being inside a salon is the perfect fit. You can come in for a haircut, manicure and grab that Tragus piercing you have always wanted. We are able to even have private Piercing Spa Parties. I love being able to see the smile on clients face when they feel more confident with their new Sparkle!

Has it been a smooth road?
It was not a smooth road getting here. When we moved from Ohio to Phoenix AZ, I was not known. No one knew who I was to trust me doing piercings on them. So I had to start all the way back over again with establishing myself in the industry in a whole other part of the country. Now at this point, social media had taken over and I also had to learn a new marketing tool.. haha. I has been a roller coaster of a ride but I would not have changed a thing. Has made being here that much sweeter!

TabbyKat Piercing Spa specializes in Body Piercings with a Spa feel, I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, which allows me to bring a whole new world of bedside manner when you are getting your piercing. With the spa atmosphere, I really enjoy that parents feel comfortable bringing their children in for their piercings.

You may receive a massage, reflexology or a Reiki treatment before and after your piercing to relax the nerves and take in the moment a bit more. I am your personal Body Piercer. When needing a jewelry change, a question about healing, or found a piece of jewelry and would like something for your style, you can always text or call me.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I moved to Phoenix knowing it would work perfectly for my style of business. This city is amazing for small business owners. You just need to know what you want out of this city and don’t stop until it gives it to you!
