Meet Sydnie Cadenas of Luv Luxe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sydnie Cadenas.

Hi Sydnie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Luv Luxe was born out of both passion and realizing the resale industry was missing something with just traditional consignment. Like many entrepreneurs, my journey didn’t start with a perfectly mapped business plan, it started with a deep luv for luxury, an eye for detail, and realizing buy purchasing inventory directly outright I could standout from others in the industry.

I’ve always been drawn to luxury fashion, not just for the aesthetics, but for the craftsmanship, history, and storytelling behind each piece. I also began to realize how much luxury handbags truly held value especially from the luxury fashion houses. I realized there was a real gap in the market for a resale experience that felt both high-end yet not “stuffy” one that combined luxury-level standards with transparency and trust.

Luv Luxe started small. In the early days, I handled EVERYTHING myself: sourcing, authenticating, photographing, listing, customer communication, packing orders…. You name it I did it. I was a one woman show! I treated each item as if it were my own, and that mindset became the foundation of the brand. Trust wasn’t a marketing slogan it was something we earned one transaction at a time.

As demand grew, so did the responsibility to scale without compromising integrity. I invested heavily in authentication expertise, internal processes, and quality control. Each piece that comes through Luv Luxe is thoroughly vetted, inspected, and handled with care. We built systems to ensure consistency, accuracy, and accountability because in luxury resale, credibility is EVERYTHING.

Growth also meant listening closely to our clients. Their feedback shaped how we communicate, how we resolve issues, and how we show up when things don’t go perfectly. I’ve always believed that how a business handles challenges says more than how it handles success. That philosophy has helped Luv Luxe build long-term relationships, repeat customers, and a reputation rooted in professionalism and trust.

Today, Luv Luxe has grown into a recognized destination for authenticated luxury serving clients who want both peace of mind and a refined experience. While the business has evolved, the mission remains the same: to make luxury resale feel elevated, transparent, and approachable.

My entrepreneurial journey has been one of constant learning about leadership, resilience, and the importance of doing things the right way, even when it’s harder. Luv Luxe is not just a business to me; it’s a reflection of my standards, values, and commitment to excellence. And we’re just getting started!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any growing business especially in the luxury resale space Luv Luxe has faced its fair share of challenges. Building credibility in this environment required unwavering attention to detail, strong internal controls, and a willingness to take full accountability when things didn’t go as planned.

Another major challenge has been scaling responsibly. In the early stages, I wore every hat, which allowed me to maintain tight control over quality but also led to burnout. Letting go delegating, building systems, and trusting others was a difficult but necessary step. Growth forced me to shift from doing everything to leading effectively, which was a learning curve both professionally and personally. I received really strong advice early on when building a team and that was to hire the right people and move out of their way!

We’ve also navigated external challenges such as market fluctuations, evolving consumer behavior, and increased competition in the resale space. During slower periods or moments of uncertainty, I focused on strengthening the foundation of the business rather than chasing short-term wins or who I like to call “the shinny apples”.

When tough situations arose, transparency became our strongest tool. I’ve always believed in communicating clearly with customers, addressing issues head-on, and finding fair resolutions. Those moments, while difficult, ultimately reinforced trust and helped shape Luv Luxe’s reputation for professionalism and integrity.

Every challenge has played a role in shaping Luv Luxe into what it is today. The obstacles forced me to become more strategic, resilient, and intentional in how I build and lead. While the journey hasn’t been easy, I wouldn’t change the lessons it’s those experiences that have strengthened both the business and my vision for its future.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
One thing that often surprises people about Luv Luxe is how much goes behind the scenes of the business to make it function so efficiently. From the outside, luxury resale can look glamorous stunning handbags, luxury names, curated imagery but behind the scenes it’s highly technical, detail-driven, and process heavy. It’s far more analytical than most people expect.

A major misconception about the resale industry is that authentication is subjective or based on a single “checklist.” In reality, it’s a layered, evolving discipline. Counterfeits are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and no two items or luxury brands are exactly alike. This is why experience, repetition, and accountability matter so much.

Another common myth is that resale is simply about offering lower prices. For many clients, value isn’t just about cost it’s about confidence. Customers come to Luv Luxe because they want peace of mind, transparency, and a relationship with a business that stands behind what it sells. In many cases, buyers are choosing resale not just for affordability, but for access to discontinued pieces, limited edition styles, and items with history!

What may also surprise people is how emotionally connected clients are to their luxury items. These pieces often carry stories milestones, celebrations, memories and that emotional weight isn’t something we take lightly.

As for me personally, people are often surprised by how hands on I remain. Even as Luv Luxe has grown, and I have grown personally and professionally I stay closely involved in key decisions and customer experience. I believe leadership means staying connected to the details, not just the vision.

Ultimately, the biggest misconception about luxury resale is that it’s secondary to traditional retail or not as “polished”. In reality, it’s a highly specialized industry that demands precision, trust, and ethical responsibility. It’s the largest growing sector in the world of fashion and I don’t see that slowing down anytime soon.
