Swekshaya, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My mom is an inspiration for me. She used to work as a threading artist a long time back when we recently moved to states. I used to watch her transform eyebrows and slowly start practicing it and she helped me master the art of threading. I was a business student at ASU. I was tired of working for someone else. On my day off, I told my family about my vision and asked my dad if he could help me financially. He believed in me and my visions and did everything he possibly could to help me open my business.
Has it been a smooth road?
Of course not! As an immigrant and a young entrepreneur, I did not know where to start. From educating myself about licensing to finding location, rules/laws to advertising and networking, I had to learn everything myself and I am still learning something new every day.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Ibrow threading story. Tell us more about the business.
Ibrow threading was born in May 2012. Over the last seven years, we have opened three other locations.
We specialize in the ancient technique of facial hair removal method, threading. We promote expressive, in style eyebrows at an affordable price. Whether your face needs grooming or if your eyebrows need a new look, our threading artist are always there to accommodate your needs.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Having eyebrows that perfectly frame your facial profile and structures, can vividly improve your appearance in modifying the way your features are looked at. Therefore perfectly groomed brows are boosting the beauty industry.
As it is gaining more exposure/popularity across various culture, I can see a significant growth in this industry.
