Today we’d like to introduce you to Sofia Sparacia.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Here I was, a new mom, trying to navigate this new life and figure out how to challenge myself and continue to grow and make my son and family proud. I didn’t really know where to go, but my very supportive father in law suggested I go to real estate school and become partners with my mother in law, Nickole.
To be honest, I didn’t know the first thing about real estate, but I thought “how hard could it be?!” BOY, was I wrong!! It was challenging at times and even today, six years into the business, I still come across things that I haven’t encountered before.
Luckily, I have an AMAZING mentor (My partner) and she not only is so knowledgeable and intelligent, but our partnership is so strong, that we have surpassed our yearly goals.
We enjoy making people genuinely happy and helping clients during the major milestone of selling or buying a home. Our business module has changed throughout the years, but the one thing that won’t change is how we always try to create relationships with our clients.
The satisfaction of seeing our client’s homes and families throughout the years is what truly drives us to continue being one of the best teams in the business.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Personally, I have a new struggle that I go through daily… There is so much pressure on working moms to not only be the perfect parent but also to have the perfect work-life balance. We split in two; mom and career. It’s so hard to have to take my time away from my kids, but real estate is a part of who I am. I ENJOY it. I need to let go of the guilt and block the expectations that I have to be the perfect working mom.
I have been lucky enough to still spend plenty of quality time with my kids, and when I’m not, I have a great support system who is there caring for them the way I would. I have figured out a balance that is right for my family and I. It’s not perfect, but it works for us right now.
As for business, some of the only struggles that our business has encountered were the more challenging clients. We strive to be perfect, and when something happens out of our control (which happens quite often in real estate), it was hard to not blame myself.
We just make sure that our clients are prepared and educated on any possible outcome. Nickole and I challenge each other daily, and we have created a partnership that our clients see and appreciate.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
The Sparacia Team has over 17 years of combined knowledge in real estate. We specialize in quite a few areas. Ranch and farm, luxury real estate, and traditional sales. We have completed the Graduate Realtor Institute which is a way to stand out to prospective home buyers and sellers as a Realtor who has gained in-depth knowledge on technical subjects as well as the fundamentals of real estate.
We also have the Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) designation which is the premier credential in seller representation. It is designed to elevate professional standards and enhance personal performance.
There are quite a few factors that set us apart from others; Nickole and I are family… We push each other and help each other grow in business and personal life. My weaknesses are her greatest strengths, and our clients can use that to their advantage!
We make sure to always continue to educate each other whether it’s about contracts, disclosures, legal issues, etc. through schooling or to sign up for coaching together. We want to make sure we are always up to date about the real estate market because it is always changing!
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I have always been a people person, and real estate is all about people!! When I get to see true happiness in my clients, it brings me so much joy. I get to spend time with new people daily and get to KNOW them.
They tell me their dislikes, likes, details about their family, their goals, and what drives them. I enjoy talking to people and getting to know them on a deeper level so I can cater to what they need from me as a Realtor. Serving my clients and going above and beyond is what I LOVE!
