Today we’d like to introduce you to Sizzle Foo.

Sizzle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I began rapping at the tender age of 5 after watching my brother, 5280 Mystic, freestyle and my father DJ. Eventually, my uncles taught us how to write our raps down. We began to drop mixtapes and the rest is history!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
NO! It was never smooth. I’ve been to jail, homeless, friendless and all. I also had a huge struggle with contracts. I was previously signed to Universal Records, which my manager ran off with all of the starts up funding for my project. My career has been one for the box office, to say the least.

Tell us more about your art.
I am an artist. I rap, write and perform all of my songs. Also, I do graphic arts from time to time. The thing that sets BassGang University apart from the rest of the labels/cliques/circles is a couple of things. 1. BASS. Our beats are always filled with bass that will send tremors through the body. Its what we specialize in two. Our story. I’ve come from some of the direst situations, as well as my brothers. We all have such determination that our conviction to the sport of HipHop puts us on top of all the rest.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Luck? Luck has done NOTHING for me. God has done EVERYTHING.
