Meet Sierra Ostler of Soc Skin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sierra Ostler.

Hi Sierra, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I became a licensed esthetician in 2019. I worked in a medical spa in Houston, Texas after graduating school, and I was the lead esthetician performing a large variety of skincare services! When I relocated to the Phoenix area in March of 2020, I decided to take a leap and opened Soc Skin in September! My small business has grown a lot in the last ten months, and we will be celebrating Soc Skin’s first birthday on September 1st!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Opening a small business always has its ups and downs, but doing so for the first time during a global pandemic has definitely added some challenges. The pandemic has definitely changed how the beauty industry functions, and people were nervous to get treatments done in such an unprecedented time. I strive to create a safe space for my clients mentally and physically and I think I have done just that! I also opened Soc Skin six months after moving to the area, so I opened with no clientele. I’m extremely grateful for social media and my clients for helping me to get my name around and fill my books.

We’ve been impressed with Soc Skin, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Soc Skin focuses on treating a variety of skin concerns such as acne, pigmentation, age management, and overall skin health! I offer a variety of treatments for each issues such as dermaplaning, chemical peels, Microneedling, and Facial Infusions! We also offer a small amount of lash services like lash extensions and lifts. Soc Skin also focuses on educating in an understandable way. A lot of skincare can be overwhelming, so I do my best to break everything down in an easy way! Soc Skin is a safe place for people new to skincare and our skincare veterans! At the end of the day my job is to make you feel seen, heard, and beautiful.

Soc Skin is currently accepting new clients! I would love to help you tackle the world of skincare and any concerns you may have! Not only does Soc Skin offer in person consultations and treatments, but I am also offering virtual consultation and skin coaching to those who maybe too far or are not quite yet comfortable with the state of the world!
