Meet Shelby Lehman of Old Republic Title in Metro Phoenix

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shelby Lehman.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Shelby. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
I help agents build their brand.

My passion for marketing started when I was in middle school, being enamored with the psychology behind advertising. I would sell my Halloween candy at school and handmade bookmarks at my dad’s work.

I even started my own custom t-shirt company in high school. In college, I was named Marketing Student of The Year, along with completing a double-major in Marketing and Business Management while playing collegiate volleyball. Now, I help agents execute on what I’ve not only learned myself, but have tested myself.

When I went into the competitive world of Title, I had an aim to be different. Most Title Reps don’t focus on learning as much as they can about marketing. I focus on learning and implementing before I teach. My focus is truly helping agents build what they’ll only ever own at the end of their career-their personal brand.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Never smooth!

When I first started in the industry, prior to being in sales, I didn’t KNOW my niche. I LET others affect my confidence when I showed up at work. I stopped speaking up in meetings because I was afraid that I was too young to have better solutions than those who had been in the space for years.

I’m one of the youngest Title Reps out there. It fires me up when people ask me how old I am, I love it. I know I won’t always love that… But for now, it excites me. Age has nothing to do with how much value and passion you can bring to the table.

It’s energizing to be in this competitive environment and offer different perspectives and solutions to agents who have only heard the same thing repeated by different Title Reps.

I’m a Title Rep, AKA Business Development Manager for Old Republic Title.

Our company is known for being a Fortune 500 that underwrites for many of the Title Agencies in the Valley. We’re one of the bigger players in the industry that offer Title and Escrow service to the real estate community.

As a Title Rep, my job is to sell our services to Realtors and Lenders. To differentiate even further than our Escrow Officers, I provide marketing services.

What sets us apart, we have an incredible amount of financial stability and because we are so huge-we have a lot of resources. What sets me apart is my level of education in marketing, knowledge on social media strategies, branding, and passion.

What are your plans for the future?
I’m a major planner in my personal life. For my professional life, I’m so on fire about where I am right now that I want to squeeze everything I can out of this role before I even think about the next step.

My clients are absolute rockstars and wonderful people. I love when I meet more Realtors that are passionate about what they do and want to grow, that’s what makes me excited every day when I go to work!
