Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Stevens.

Hi Shannon, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I have been a licensed contractor for 30 years, and as I got older, I opened an online furniture store. We added massage chairs to our lineup, which proved popular. I then researched massage chair rentals in my area, and there were none. In 2020 I started bringing a custom trailer to businesses/events, which housed 4 luxury massage chairs. People started asking if I could bring the chairs into their location, and I couldn’t, as the chairs were much too big and heavy. I kept being asked, so I sold the custom trailer in 2023 and bought 8 new luxury massage chairs that fit through any door. The online furniture store is no more, as I only rent/sell massage chairs now.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I finished the custom trailer in February 2020 to bring it to workplace wellness events. Covid hit 2 weeks later. There were few workplaces, and the few did not want their employees in an enclosed trailer. I did more contracting work waiting for things to open up. As they did, businesses started calling to have me out.
