Meet Shannon DiBiasi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon DiBiasi.

Shannon, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started on the radio almost ten years ago. I worked on a popular morning show and I put in 8 years at that show before we part ways. After that, I briefly produced for The Morning Mess on Live 101.5. I loved the people that I worked with but I slowly started to fall out of love with radio. It was my DREAM job when I was 22 but here I was at 30 and about to have a baby, I knew that waking up at 3 am every day was not going to be a fit for my lifestyle anymore.

I heavily debated about the next step my life would take. Should I be a stay-at-home mom? Should I continue to work on the radio but in a different position? Should I go into a normal corporate position? While debating my next step, real estate was always in the back of mind. It was a career that I knew I wanted but it never seemed like the right time to take that step.

And being pregnant, I decided that I always DID want to work and what better career for a new mom than to be her boss. I decided to go for it. I got my real estate license and never looked back. Being my boss and being able to stay home with my children is very rewarding for me. I am thankful I found a career that will fit my lifestyle no matter where I am at.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not always been a smooth road. Starting a new career when you have had a different one for almost 10 years is challenging. However, the biggest struggle I’ve had to overcome is proving to friends and family that they should believe in your new career path and trust to refer you.

Please tell us about your business.
I help people buy and sell real estate in the East Valley. I pride myself on providing a 5-star customer service experience for my clients. I educated my clients during the entire process and go out of my way to make sure their needs are met. My clients are more than just clients to me, they are people that I truly care about. I love that through the process of finding people their dream homes, I build relationships with them that last. Truly, most of my clients become my friends and that is very fulfilling to me.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am focused on growing my business now that I am past the growing pains of starting my business. I look forward to helping as many people as I can in the upcoming years.
