Meet Shanaya Knotts

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shanaya Knotts.

Shanaya, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am currently the Founder and CEO of Yolo Girls Tucson, LLC. My professional journey has allowed for many incredible opportunities and experiences and as a young leader, I had no idea that my path would lead me here. I think the most dream of landing that ideal gig or career ambition straight out of college.

It didn’t exactly happen like that for me since I was married very young and had three children under five before my 25th birthday. With the support and motivation from my husband, I was very fortunate to have completed my college courses. Within about five years after I attained my college degree I was finally able to secure what my in-laws considered “that sounds important” positions. Over the next ten years, I learned from and operated on some of the coolest, dynamic, challenging and diverse leadership teams of well established fortune 50 and 500 companies within the same lifetime!

Over about ten years, I was able to “break bread” and learn from industry leaders who were experts in ageless business principles. The great thing about these roles was, they allowed for the opportunity for me to glean and experience, in most cases very healthy coaching and development techniques. The power of corporate micro-culture and what it means to posture talent development into new and progressive models.

Has it been a smooth road?
Not obstacles in the slight however it does make it challenging to peruse a family and a career. I was married at 17 to my high school sweetheart I was pregnant during my senior year of high school long before these things were popular. I was told more once that I would be lost in the system and only about what my history has shown for those of my disposition. I had three children by 25! It was nuts! They are not well into their teens, in fact, our oldest is a Sr. in high school.

We’d love to hear more about your business.

2. You can learn about what it takes to find real love & support in your community = True diversity and inclusion.
3. You can learn how to live the life you want = discover new and exciting experiences.
4. You can learn how to make time for you = self- care made real and showcased in all its beautiful forms.

Secondary- Business & Financial Consultation. Shanaya Knotts, Financial Director, Make Wealth Real, LLC.
I offer a unique experience for the small business owner who is looking to re-brand, network and grow their territory and profitability. I just began this journey and I am already getting an overwhelming response. Women are excited to partner with the local small business community and provide support, coaching and development that is tailored specifically for each client. I really get to see them interact with clients and their customers at the pop-up events and we use these as markers for coaching and try again on the next show and keep revamping their process until we start seeing the monetary and non-monetary results my client identified as the goal.

Target audience, think “the future is female” and I am here to provide a small business support service that Showcases women in a new and vibrant way. It’s impressive how much our local communities may not even really be aware that we live right next to a financial genius or craft goddess, right here in our city and in our communities we have very talented people and I feel like this is a great time to revisit what makes the small business so outstanding.

Yolo Girls Tucson difference? I meet my clients where they are and offer to walk through their current process! I provide the ultimate networking platform and support for brand new or established companies. My goal is to build happy, healthy communities and these folks will build my business. I don’t feel that a potential client shouldn’t pressure to buy a product. Even if the product is gold plated is useless if your customer does not have a need, value or want of your service. We help YOU create, secure or refresh your business plan and walk with you along your small business journey.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Likes are the people of the city! I value those who truly give back and make change happen right here within our cities. The least favorite aspect, the lack of opportunities to connect, inner-city, with diverse and inclusive people. I am a California kid in spirit so I need to have opportunities to connect regularly with communities that may not necessarily be my own or what I might not be familiar with.
