Today, we’d like to introduce you to Shameka Brinson. Shameka was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Melinda Denga.
Shameka, thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?
In the mist of the pandemic my life changed tremendously. I had just started a new job in the beginning of the year that I ended up hating, my 4-year relationship ended, and I ended up moving back in with family. At the time I had completely lost my sense of self and needed to find a way to regain control. Working with Melinda helped me acquire the skills necessary to rebuild my life. After about 4/5 months of services I was able to find myself and pursue the things that I wanted in life.
Let’s talk about your work and career – what else should we know?
I use to work endlessly in corporate America. And although I was making good money, I was not happy because I was never pursuing my true passion. Now I work in behavioral health pursuing my own passion of helping youth acquire the skills they need to be successful in society.
As you know, we’re big fans of Melinda Denga and Inspired Resolutions we know you’ve worked with them quite a bit as well. We’d love to hear about your experience working with Melinda Denga.
I spent several months working with Melinda after learning that she provided nlp services. During this time not only were we able to tackle the core source for many of my personal issues; but we were able to redirect my perspective of how everyday things affect me and those around me. Through mindfulness and meditation practices that I will probably use for the rest of my life, I was able to form a big picture goal and pursue a life that fell into line with it. Melinda was able to make me realize that I’m not only capable of having anything I can imagine, but also that I deserve to have what I desire. Working with her was like rehabbing my mind and spirit, for which I will forever be grateful. I not only go out of my way to share the knowledge I gained, but I always recommend her services to anyone open to an alternative to traditional talk therapy.
