Meet Seth Gordon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Seth Gordon.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I’m just a creator by nature. Everything I see, I want to understand the making of and try my hand at it. I started drawing when I was three years old. Along the way, I’ve done a lot of work in design and manufacturing avenues. I’m constantly learning new techniques and trying new materials. I’m on a mission to see what the human creative force is capable of. When people in the future think about the limits of art and the achievements of creation, I want to be one of those who moved that bar.

Please tell us about your art.
I dabble in everything, and my sphere of experience is constantly growing. I’m most known for my realism, which is usually black-and-white, and sometimes extends into the areas of hyperrealism and/or surrealism. Most people viewing my art try to imagine how it was accomplished… but what I really want them to do is be inspired to try creating something themselves… something outside the realm of their previous experience or comfort.

As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
Success should mean different things to different artists. To me, it’s measured in the impact we create when we’re no longer present.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
My work is often on display at Lakeview Coffee (at Hayden and Via de Ventura). I’m also present on Instagram, Facebook, and artistsethgordon.com.
