Today we’d like to introduce you to Seltzer Papi.
Hi Seltzer, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Seltzer Papi and I am #PoppinSeltzers. Seltzer Papi was created a year ago in August of 2020 after some unprecedented events changed a man’s life forever. I lost my job, dyed my hair blue and cracked open a nice cold Whiteclaw. After having a few beverages of the adult variety, I realized a gap in the alcohol review space when it came to hard seltzers. So, I took it upon myself to fire it up and give the people what they want.
I have now reviewed over 200 individual hard seltzers and record quick video reviews (everything has to be quick these days!). I’d be more than happy to give recommendations or let people know what the top seltzers aka slappers are in the space. Some of my videos have got hundreds of thousands of views on Instagram thru Reels or via TikTok doing wild challenges. #FireItUp
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The initial start was a tough one with sleepless nights, hateful comments online and friends who doubted Papi and his dream to review seltzers in pursuit of the perfect 10/10 hard seltzer. Little did the internet trolls know that it would simply make Papi stronger and more dedicated to the cause. A year in and my vision is beginning to come to fruition. I consult with brands big and small through email/instagram and they will send me product to review along with koozies, t-shirts and other swag. Whenever a new box arrives at the doorstep, it’s like Christmas morning! Package Papi.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Seltzer Papi has a few other personalities that pop in to the video reviews from time to time. Lieutenant Percenter is in charge of letting the public know about the alcohol percentage in each drink. He also has never left his post. Dr. Calori focuses on the calorie contents of each can. He got his master’s degree at HSU (Hard Seltzer University). There is a multiverse of other Papi personalities with anything that starts with P and then add Papi after it.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most in a hard seltzer to be ranked highly is taste, alcohol content, smell, aftertaste, calorie content and sugar content. How Papi is feeling that day also plays a tiny factor because Papi is the subject matter expert on the matter, bud. To see all the rankings and reviews look it up!
