Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Gannon.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I have always had a love for cars and the automotive world. In March 2016, I picked up a camera for the first time and absolutely fell in love with photography. Then I decided to combine my two passions and take up automotive photography. I have taught myself everything I know about photography and editing over these past two years and I hope that one day I can make a career in the automotive industry somehow.
Please tell us about your art.
I am an automotive photographer. I take photos of cars, trucks, motorcycles, pretty much anything with wheels because I have always loved the beauty in the automotive world.
My inspiration comes from a few different places but mainly shows like “The Grand Tour” and “Top Gear” because they truly do capture the magnificence of vehicles.
The main thing to know about my artwork is that it is not just cars. I try and capture everything unique about each vehicle that I see no matter what it is. Another point to know about my work is that I taught myself everything about photography from shooting on manual settings and manipulating light to editing photos.
What do you think is the biggest challenge facing artists today?
The biggest challenge facing artists, especially photographers, is that anyone can take a decent photo now because of their smartphones. It takes true talent, knowledge, and commitment to become a great artist today.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
People can find my work on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook under the name @sgannonphoto.
The way that people could support my work is spread my name around through social media and buy prints from me.
