Meet Scott Conditt and Jeremy Tremp of CineForge Media in Peoria

Today we’d like to introduce you to Scott Conditt and Jeremy Tremp.

CineForge Media was founded two years ago by Scott and Jeremy, two valley-based filmmakers who became fast friends over sci-fi, pop culture and video games. A month after meeting one another, the dynamic duo turned out a retro arcade themed short film called Show No Mercy, featuring Karate Kid star Martin Kove, which went on to debut at Comicon and was an Official Selection at the prestigious Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal. The film even attracted nationwide attention and was featured on ABC’s highly rated viral video show, Right This Minute before it was picked up for distribution. Riding on the success of their first narrative collaboration together, Jeremy and Scott formally partnered and formed CineForge Media LLC together.

Shortly after partnering, they were introduced to composer and band conductor Jesse Mitchell, who completed their team and brought sonic delights to their tasty visuals, The CIneForge boys have been setting the gold standard for video and film in the valley ever since together, most recently completing photography on their first feature film together, a fantasy adventure film entitled Max Reload and The Nether Blasters. The film stars Greg Grunberg (Star Wars, Heroes) and features Lin Shaye (Insidious, There’s Something About Mary) and Kevin Smith (Clerks, Chasing Amy). The film was shot mostly in the Phoenix Metro area, with a few select scenes filmed in Hollywood, California.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
All things considered, it’s been a wild two years, with some amazing milestones and goals career-wise having been achieved in a relatively short amount of time. Running a high-end film and video production business requires a good amount of hustle, networking, client development and so forth. The greatest challenges we’ve faced are the ones that we put in front of ourselves. Our team is comprised of very competitive, very skilled, fun-loving guys and we are constantly trying to set the goals higher for ourselves and one another in a sort of spirited competition to see how we can outdo ourselves. Most of our successes have began with one of us uttering two simple words…

“What if…?”

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about CineForge Media – what should we know?
CineForge Media was established to fulfill a need for high-quality independent films and creative content. With deep roots in the cinematic arts, our approach to filmmaking embodies a sense of wonder and immersion only found on the silver screen. We are known in the valley for exceptionally high quality, high-concept content. More often than not, we are known as the company that leaves other filmmakers in town asking “How did you guys pull that off?”

We pride ourselves on the client experience and building life-long relationships with our network of affiliates and fellow creatives. We are deeply passionate about community and fostering the next generation of filmmakers through internships, seminars and hands-on experience. We believe that a rising tide lifts all ships.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
We have been fortunate to have the tremendous support of industry leaders here in the valley and beyond. When we first formed the company, our friend and colleague Matthew Earl Jones (now, the AZ State Film Commissioner) introduced us to Jeff Berggren and Phil Wilson of Huntington University based in Peoria.

Huntington had just opened its doors as a school for the Digital Media Arts within its brand new facility in the P83 District and their faculty and administrators were eager to interface with industry professionals. Upon meeting us and discussing our goals and desires to foster film industry growth in the West Valley, they generously offered to lease us office space and afforded us networking opportunities within their campus. It was a game changer to have the creative space for our new business and access to up-and-coming talent through their student roster for internships and on-set opportunities. Both aspects of our relationship with Huntington University served as growth-accelerators for our company.
