Today we’d like to introduce you to Saeed Aslam, Joshua Kraak, and Monica Tiffee.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Saeed, Joshua, and Monica. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I, Saeed Aslam, am the founder of Alyshaan Fine Rugs; what’s started with my father’s love for this product and a robust multinational manufacturing and export business he started in 1969, has been continued by me in USA since 1979, and in Arizona since 2001. We offer a simple, honest business concept of NO SALES, NO gimmicks and everyday low prices that are lower than most store’s sale or liquidation prices. As direct importers, we eliminate the middlemen and offer the lowest prices in Arizona without insulting your intelligence with an 80% off sale on every rug, every day, like many rug stores. Alyshaan has very friendly, experienced staff that enjoy helping our customers make an informed decision. One visit to Alyshaan and you will feel very well informed on the subject of handcrafted rugs.
As exquisite as our rugs are, it is our customer service that truly makes us shine. Learn more about us and meet our team of professionals.
“Fair Rugs”, Our Green and Fair Trade pledge
We pledge to conduct our business with environmentally friendly and fair trade practices. We will always treat our customers fairly by providing them with honest answers, magnificent service, and a wonderful product made with green and fair trade practices. We will always treat our employees well by paying them above average wages, paying the same wages to everyone without ever discriminating against anyone for any reason, including gender, ethnicity, spiritual beliefs, or life preferences. We will always treat our vendors and workers well by paying them above average wages, and helping them with things like medical and educational well-being. We will manufacture, ship and handle our products with the most environmentally friendly material and means possible.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I grew up in a very affluent family and a privileged lifestyle, but then my family lost everything they had and I put myself through school, supported my family and ran my rug business at the same time. When the economy crashed, I lost everything I had and started from Scratch, but got back on my feel quickly.
I have never allowed myself to file for unemployment or accept any kind of assistance. I have lost my parents, and 3 siblings, and have had to take care of my extended family for over 25 years, but have done so with a smile on my face.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Alyshaan Fine Rugs – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We grew to the largest store in Arizona by doing no gimmicks, which are common in the rug business, we never have a sale, we treat our customers with respect and truly help them with their home like it’s our and provide exceptional service. We have more rugs than anybody in Arizona, we will bring rugs to our customers home for in home showing with no cost or obligation. We have more awards, testimonials, and 5 star reviews than any rug store in Arizona.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I want to transfer the day to day operations of Alyshaan to my competent staff which includes my son and run my non-profit full time that I am setting up to make this world a better place by creating better understanding between different people.
