Meet Roxanna Romero of iLahshnBrows

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roxanna Romero.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started lashing in Tucson in 2005 with 3D Lash. As I got more experience I trained with xtremelashes and got certified in 2012 in my level 1 training. Shortly after I got certified in volume lashes and was certified in 2014.

Has it been a smooth road?
Not everything in the beauty industry comes easy. In 2016, I decided to move to Phoenix and open up iLashnBrows all while pregnant. At first, things went smoothly, but hiring other artist was a challenge. it’s hard to find people that are confident in their work or simply willing to work at a salon that’s fairly new and still a growing business itself. I worked 7 days a week all the ways up to 2 weeks before my due date. and still didn’t take much time off after giving birth. With only one employee at the time, I took about 3 weeks off but still came into work with some of my clients. With iLashnBrows approaching its 1 year anniversary, it’s still a struggle finding another artist to join the team, but so far business has been great.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We mainly specialize in lash extensions and microblading, but offer a variety of services from permanent makeup, dermaplaning, wax/threading, lash lift, sleek brow, spray tans, and so much more.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, Phoenix is growing in many different ways. Downtown or Uptown locations are the best simply because it’s constantly busy.
