Hi Rosy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hey there! I’m Rosy, a Sagittarius sun, Pisces moon, Aquarius rising weirdo whose purpose in life is to connect personal growth junkies to the secrets of their higher selves. I started my astrology business in May of 2020, although I’ve been doing readings and teaching this stuff to my friends and family for almost ten years. Like many other creatives, when the Covid-19 pandemic hit, I was pushed to find a new source of income (and a new way to use my energy) because my job disappeared.

I jumped into my business with enthusiasm in May, and by July, I had an online course about intuitive connection, I had done over 100 astrology birth chart readings, and I even taught a virtual class for Creative Mornings Phoenix. Now, a year later, I am proud that I have built my business to something that I love. I love teaching classes about Astrology and Human Design. I love helping people learn about themselves on a deep level, I love creating informative content to teach people how to use the stars to better their lives. I am living proof that when you learn about yourself and how you are connected to the cosmos, and when you follow that unique design, you will connect to your true manifestation power. You will create the life you desire. The only thing holding you back is yourself. Once you learn how to overcome your obstacles, you feel unstoppable.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The hardest thing about running an online business is knowing who to trust. Every website I visit shows me ads for online webinars meant to grow my Instagram followers, get more ‘likes,’ or how to write the perfect email to sell more of my product. It’s tempting to get sucked into these methods, but I’ve found that the only surefire way to grow my business is to stay authentic and allow myself to live in the space of vulnerability. Reading an astrology birth chart is a surprisingly intimate thing – I will point out the darkest parts of your soul… but I’ll also point out your hidden superpowers. It requires trust and connection. It is impossible for me to truly build a connection with my clients if I am following someone else’s strategy for social media growth. I have to remember that being myself and following my intuition is all I need to grow my business. I can’t let myself get tricked into thinking more numbers = a better business. I would rather have five loyal customers than 500 disconnected, shallow ones.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Every single human on this Earth is unique and has a purpose bigger than themselves. That purpose might be to lead their community, it might be to become a parent and usher in new life, or it might be to dive deep into their own subconscious and heal their ancestral wounding. Looking at the cosmic connections of people’s charts has shown me that there is no one-size-fits-all way to look at a person’s astrology. Each person’s astrological energy shows up differently and connects to who they are in a new way. I’ve learned that my skill is valuable, especially as we see a rise in astrology apps. An app can’t help you use your astrology in the same way that I can. Astrologers are powerful personal growth coaches and I’ve learned that I deserve to be proud of myself for what I do.
