Meet Robert Garcia of Bobby G Entertainment

Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert Garcia.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Robert. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My venture started about 5 years ago when I said I’m going to do something I’ve never done before. I was going to do what it takes to pursue my passion for music. With no prior education or knowledge of sound or lighting. I started running an open mic night at one of the local coffee shops that were ranked No. 2 by Phoenix New Times in 2014 for a couple of years to learn my craft.

I started to venture out picking up a show here and there and just outgrew the coffee houses. I started my investment in the lighting and trussing items to better enhance my ability to put on a good light show. The venture continues to grow slowly but surely…

Has it been a smooth road?
Its been a struggle with finding the right individuals to work with who has the right attitude and passion as I do. Long hours of setups times and tear downs.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Bobby G Entertainment story. Tell us more about the business.
I am the owner of the company and I do everything. I set up sound and lighting and I run the equipment. I am known for a great light show. I am most proud of the ability to stick with this through good times and bad and my growth factor being utilized by other companies as needed. I feel I set myself apart by my passion to provide great sound and lighting at an affordable price.

What’s your favorite memory from childhood?
Being raised in California, my father taking me down to the Redondo Beach pier to get a burrito and hang out…
