Meet Rigden, Brenna Brinkerhoff and Grant Bigelow of Evora Jewelry Co. in Downtown Gilbert

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rigden, Brenna Brinkerhoff and Grant Bigelow.

Rigden, Brenna and Grant, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Rigden Speaking: I started making silver jewelry in August of 2018, and people began asking me to make custom pieces for them. I was glad to, but I’m extremely passionate about Entrepreneurship and didn’t want to spend time being a silversmith. Although I loved it and it would be a very creative and rewarding career, I knew it would be difficult to scale. My sister Eden told me I should hold “classes” where Customers come and make their jewelry. Initially, I loved the idea and knew it was a unique business idea and model, but for the next couple of months, I continued to brainstorm with my girlfriend at the time Brenna (who is now my wife) other ways we could incorporate jewelry into a successful business model.

After a few months, we concluded that these “classes” would be a very successful business if executed properly. But we needed to start an eCommerce jewelry store to get the ball rolling. My friend Grant Bigelow came to me and proposed to become a partner of mine in the business, which I accepted. Myself, Brenna and Grant started Evora as an online jewelry retailer in hopes of opening these “classes” to the public very soon.

The last direction I wanted to head as a business was where we taught others HOW to make jewelry. I didn’t want these “classes” to create a classroom or teaching environment. I wanted to create an EXPERIENCE. It had to be a light, simple, aesthetically pleasing, fun, creative, one of a kind environment. We needed to sell an experience. In May of 2019, we held our first Evora Studio Session. Since then we have slowly innovated our studio and experience into what it is today, and have many plans to continue to innovate our business and the experiences we offer into different avenues.

Our sole purpose at Evora Is to inspire human creativity and individuality. Originality and creativity are what cultivate inner confidence and fulfillment. We created an experience where you are the designer and creator of your piece of jewelry from start to finish, in hopes of igniting a movement of art and self-expression.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been a relatively smooth road. There were times where I didn’t think we would be even remotely successful, and we had to find ways to push through these adversities. The hardest but most motivating obstacle is when others would look at Evora as an extremely immature business (Which we still are, but we have come a long way) and refused to see its potential or the vision we have for it. When you’re the only one with the vision, its hard but its extremely motivating and I ABSOLUTELY love it.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I love entrepreneurship. I love creativity and individuality. I am only 22 so I’m still finding what it is that I specialize in, but I am extremely passionate about self development, branding and efficiency. I am most proud of the progress we have made in seven months, and the environment we have created for the public. We still have very much to do, but we are proud of what we’ve done so far.

How do you define success?
To me, success is influencing the world. But to have influence, I have to become do what most do not. The more time I invest in myself, the more successful I feel. This includes: creating great habits and rituals, developing discipline, always studying & learning, becoming a more productive individual, refining my character, becoming almost excessively self-aware, setting and achieving goals, Living a structured and balanced life, progressing and growing each day, etc.

  • Add the price of the stone you select to the $65. Stones range from $9-$50
