Today we’d like to introduce you to Rhianna Ramirez.
Rhianna, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My healing journey began toward the end of a toxic relationship that had lasted for nearly 20 years. It was a very dark time in my life where I felt isolated, scared, depressed, lost, confused and ashamed. I didn’t know who I was anymore.
I had always been intrigued by the power and mysticism of nature, organic living, yoga and alternative healing so I followed that path, but the life I was living was still a heavy one, emotionally draining and ultimately led me to chronic illness. It wasn’t until the stress and emotions started to manifest physically that I ultimately knew I needed to make a change.
I was in such denial about the reality of the situation I had been living in for so long and was in for a real awakening in the months that followed the hard decision to leave my marriage.
I went to various therapists and healers, all of which helped me collectively. Therapy helped me unpack many of the issues and emotions I had repressed, but it was the energy healing, shamanic journeying and various forms of bodywork that really started to move the PTSD and trauma out of my system.
When I began engaging in healing therapies that were rooted in the energetics, I really started to feel different. I started feeling a strength within me that I had never felt before. I could feel myself. My life completely transformed after that, so much so that I felt compelled to help other women experience this healing and transformation for themselves.
I then decided to pursue a career in holistic and alternative medicine, as well as study energy healing. I went through extensive training to become a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, Life Coach and Reiki Master. It has been truly life-changing.
Has it been a smooth road?
There were definitely moments I had a breakdown, but I have come to view those moments as more of a breakthrough. It was really a moment of spiritual awakening. In order for me to have really gotten to a place where I healed myself I needed to hit that point of complete surrender. The moment of having the breakdown really opened up the space for me to truly let go. This is something that I think about all the time now. Every woman that I’m working with, we’re always working with this theme of letting go. For me there was something that I wasn’t able to let go of. At times, I was very resistant, but most of that was due to fear. It then became clear to me how much resistance I had towards life, towards the truth of who I am and why I’m here. Part of that truth was the trauma that I had blocked for many decades.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m a Holistic Health Practitioner, Life Coach and Energy Healer. Using a combination of heart, energy and bodywork, as well as other holistic modalities, I help women who have experienced trauma and emotional abuse restore their health and happiness.
My healing sessions, programs, workshops and retreats are designed to blend my knowledge, experience, empathy and spiritual trainings to help women rediscover themselves, release old patterns and energetic blockages that are holding them back.
If you’ve ever experienced trauma, you need more support. I needed to be with healers that could help me get that out of my body and guide me through the intensity of the grief. I was so scared to feel the grief because there was so much of it. We all need support. I’m still going through things in my life that I need support with. By getting support, you can go deeper in your healing.
There’s nothing more beautiful than being of support to someone who’s wanting to free themselves of pain. It’s incredible to witness when the transformation takes place. It’s a complete miracle every time I see and feel it. There’s always an opportunity to support one another.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I came to Arizona over a year ago from the Midwest. I always felt called to the west so when I finally made the decision to move, I was excited about the opportunity to live in Phoenix. It’s a large metro city but doesn’t feel that way. It’s so spread out and there are many pockets of neighborhoods within the city where you can truly feel a sense of community. I love going to the local farmers market every Saturday morning where everybody knows your name. I have found so much support here and am very blessed to call Phoenix home.
