RG Patent Consulting was founded by Rachel Gilboy in 2009 to help inventors file and receive patents from the US Patent & Trademark Office. Rachel received a biomedical engineering degree from Arizona State University in 2006 and passed the US Patent Bar in 2007 to become a US Patent Agent. Due to the steady growth and success of RG Patent Consulting, Rachel hired several patent professionals into her company, including Bruce Lev. Bruce graduated from the University of Maryland in 1988 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and was employed within the US Patent & Trademark Office as a Primary Examiner from 1995-2005, and then worked as a self-employed US Patent Agent from 2006-2015 before teaming up with Rachel at RG Patent Consulting. Today RG Patent Consulting further includes a number of Intellectual Property Attorneys and former Primary Patent Examiners turned Patent Agents to the employee payroll to form one of the most experienced (boutique) Patent Law Firms in all of Arizona.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With success comes challenges. We have so many new large volume clients that we are constantly looking for other qualified patent agents and attorneys to bring on board.

RG Patent Consulting LLC is an intellectual property and consulting organization comprised of a wide range of people from very diverse backgrounds that was founded in 2009 to help both small inventors and large volume clients with their specific patent needs. We provide intellectual property assistance to independent inventors, designers, engineers and business owners as well as research and development teams.
Our firm is committed to providing comprehensive patent-related services including, but not limited to, customized patent searches, drafting of design and provisional and utility patent applications. We also offer competitive patent portfolio analysis to help companies manage their domestic and global corporate intellectual property strategies and goals.
