Today we’d like to introduce you to Rehanna Loncar.
Rehanna, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My journey to modeling started as a mission to refind, to reconnect to the “me” I had lost in the world of professional dance. I am a professional American rhythm dancer and all-star west coast swing dancer.
This life is exhilarating, hard working and the benefits are overwhelming pleasing. However, it also has its hard strings of doing better, be better, comparisons to others, extreme politics and clicks, and of course shattering ideas of the female body.
My first step into modeling was one I knew I’d feel “unpretty” doing. Showing flab, if you will, the imperfections of my body, the everything the dance world wanted to change. This, however, was the beginning of a new self-confidence being awoken. How empowering it was to just, be. How amazing it was not to be criticized and in fact presented with affirmations and farther opportunity for the beauty they saw me as, shifting me into the world of modeling.
In return, it inspired me to drop unwanted weight and rise into chapters of expansion and growth! Here I stumbled upon the women’s modeling network by Amanda De Leon! Such a beautiful and encouraging group of ladies, where you feel safe, respected and encouraged to create ideas and be a part of so many concepts of art!
I’d say these ladies helped me dream bigger, be proud of accomplishments however big or small, and inspired me to keep going. This group has helped me become published and will continue to inspire my future.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Once in the land of modeling, I’d say the road has been smooth going. This is in fact due to the groups and friends I’ve gained. Knowing there will be bumps ahead as everything in life has balance, I plan to work hard, have fun, and create. I’m always trying to improve posture and ideas as we all learn from each other I’d definitely say I’m encouraged to push this art into direction, to seize the moment, and create memories.
We’d love to hear more about what you do.
By week, I’m a licensed massage therapist. Weekends, I am a professional actress, dancer, and model. I’m known for my huge smile, red hair, and eyes. Some I’m known as the dancer! I’m most proud of my trend, classy, sassy, smile, artistic movement and elegance.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I like that there is always an opportunity in the city.
Least liked is the heavy traffic.
