Meet Rebecca Gault of Ducks & Drakes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Gault.

Rebecca Gault

Hi Rebecca, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Simply put, I was a frustrated consumer who couldn’t find pants to fit my kids, who have long legs. I always wanted to go a size down in the waist and a size up in length. I decided to take matters into my own hands and create pants specifically for tall children, so they don’t have to suffer through baggy pants that were long enough or pants that fit in the waist, but we’re high waters on them.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I was lucky enough to get in touch with and meet some talented people who were able to help me bring my dream to life. My biggest struggle is getting my brand out there, introducing it to tall kids, and finding pants that fit them well.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Ducks & Drakes specializes in pants for tall children. Our pants come in longer-than-average inseams. Whether you have a tall child who will be a tall adult or a child who hit a major growth spurt and needs extra length in their pants, we’ve got you covered.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Any time you decide to launch a business, you naturally have to be a risk taker. I’d rather try and fail than never try at all. At least get up to bat and swing. Being an entrepreneur is a risk financially, personally, and professionally. However, that is what makes it so fun and so rewarding.
