Meet Rambod Derakhshani of The Healing Joint and Integrative Medicine

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rambod Derakhshani.

Hi Rambod, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
After I graduated from Chiropractic College in 2003 I worked for three different Chiropractic offices. The last one was from 2005 to end of 2007 where I was fortunate enough to work not only with normal every day people but also with NFL, MLB and other professional level athletes on a regular basis. Unfortunately I just felt burned out so when I had a chance to put everything on the line and go off on my own I opened The Healing Joint with a partner in December of 2007. I bought out my partner by the end of 2011 and through ups and downs kept moving forward. In March of 2019, we moved in to our new location at 3226 N Miller rd Ste 5. which has probably been one of the best decisions I have ever made. My vision has always been to have a multidisciplinary office where we blend chiropractic, acupuncture, massage with medical care and physical therapy under one roof. I met my new Partner Charlie Piermarini PA-C, MSPAS,MS, MPH, once we started to use his CBD line in our office. I told him about my vision and that I was looking for a partner that could help me build a thriving practice where patients feel comfortable and receive top notch care and feel like they are family. To that end we have changed the name of the office to The Healing Joint and Integrative Therapies.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting an office in 2008 Jan 7th to be exact with a 24 thousand dollar loan at 24% was really a bit hurdle. Not to mention the crumbling economy and people losing their jobs left and right. I think the fact that we started small with low overhead helped keep us afloat until we were able to support ourselves within a year. The summers are always tough here in AZ so there were times that we had to ask our land lord to wait for payment or juggle bills around but we always made it through.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We Started as a chiropractic and Massage office at the beginning in 2008 and then added acupuncture in 2012. As of 2021 we are a multidisciplinary office offering, Chiropractic Care, Acupuncture, massage. If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I am empathetic towards other people pain and like to be able to help and really enjoy when they feel better.
