Meet Rachel Theron of LAUNCH Web Design & Marketing in North Phoenix

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Theron.

Rachel, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
A series of events led me to quit my job and dive headfirst into self-employment. One of the most significant events on my enterprising journey was the sudden passing of my father. A notorious entrepreneur in his own right, his unexpected death was a stark reminder life is short and sometimes you have to take a chance. It would still be another three years before I took the self-employment leap, but the seed had been planted.

Although I graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2005 with a degree in journalism, I also gravitated toward marketing and management. Post-graduation, I had the opportunity to explore several career paths including project management at a leading marketing agency, property management at a large apartment complex, and authorization specialist for a board-certified surgeon.

By 2013, I was routinely freelancing on a part-time basis for web design and digital marketing services and decided to take the leap. I crunched the numbers and knew if I decided to start a boutique creative agency, I’d need to quit my job and go all in. So, I quit my job (they also became my first official client), registered an LLC, and hit the ground running. It was time to sink or swim – and I had to swim! The rest is history… LAUNCH Web Design & Marketing, LLC officially launched in the fall of 2013 and continues to this day.

Has it been a smooth road?
Overall, it has been a smooth road. I was fortunate to acquire several big clients right out of the gates, which helped with the upward momentum. With that said, I think all businesses go through growing pains and we’ve had our fair share. The most important thing is not to quit and to keep forging ahead.

Founded in 2013, LAUNCH Web Design & Marketing is a boutique creative agency. We help businesses of all sizes with their end-to-end digital marketing needs from website design to social media advertising to SEO. We like to tell clients that we’re big enough to get stuff done but small enough to still care. We take a personalized approach to every project and love helping businesses succeed online!

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Our industry is exciting because it’s ever-changing. We anticipate big algorithm changes to social media marketing, more emphasis on SEO voice search, and a continued trend of simple yet elegant web design.
