Meet Played In Full Media Kyle Majeska & Brantly Walker of Phoenix

Today we’d like to introduce you to Played In Full Media Kyle Majeska & Brantly Walker

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Kyle: “I knew I wanted my own podcast one day, I just didn’t know what exactly kind of topics I wanted to talk about. So I had started posting videos of my opinions on culture, music, movies, sports, etc. kind of like ‘Barstool’ or ‘The Ringer’. My first video was back in 2019, Brantly and I have been friends since we were 14 years old and he always shared the same interests. Brantly would post about Pokemon Go on my ‘Played in Full Media’ instagram page, and then one day him and I decided we were going to get serious and see where this podcast could take us.”

Brantly: “Yeah, for awhile I was posting about gaming content but we wanted to be a different king of platform. We want diversity and want to cover a wide range of topics, so we talked about the logistics of it all and made “Played in Full Media”.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Kyle/Brantly: “It has not been smooth at all, for multiple reasons like we both work full time jobs, have families we take care of, finances for studio equipment.”

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We’re basically a commentary, reaction, & news podcast & we cover a wide range of topics as stated before including Sports, Music, Movies, Gaming, & Culture. What makes us different are the strengths that each of us bring & how our reactions & knowledge of certain subjects can entertain & inform our audience. We’re not celebrities just two normal guys who want to make people laugh & give our honest opinions on things & bring a fresh take that maybe people haven’t before. What we are most proud of is how far we’ve came from literally knowing nothing about audio & podcast equipment or Youtube & teaching ourselves everything. We started from scratch & now we’re being interviewed by Voyage Phoenix Magazine.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Just start, do not think too much into it or get discouraged if you feel you don’t have the right tools, the best thing to do is throw yourself into it especially if you have an idea or subject you’re passionate about or like to entertain & make your audience laugh.

What i do wish we knew when we were starting out was how technical things can be, it’s not just sitting in front of camera talking, its more than that especially when learning new software & how to engineer the audio/video & make it sound more professional. I shouldn’t have expected to be good right away. It’s trial and error, lot’s of learning but just do it.
