Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick Sidener.
Patrick, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
The Bacchus Company started in 2008 with a big dream and a whole lot of prayers!
My business partner and I both had ideas that we felt would make exceptional products.
I had trusted design, manufacturing, and distribution contacts all over the world.
He could market and sell products, and we both had some money. We held meetings in my apartment designing and developing our first product. As we walked through each process, we began to tell others about what we had ventured out to do, and it seemed like everyone that we spoke with had an idea and some money and asked if we could develop their product for them. So, we decided to push our product to the back burner and focus on two key factors that are the core of our business today:
1) Manufacturing custom products of the highest quality with industry leading prices and on-time delivery.
2) Assisting start-up product developers through all the processes in bringing their product to market using our tried and true methods.
The Bacchus Co’s sustainability comes from the high-quality parts and products that we produce at low prices for companies.
Also, we do not charge for our time assisting people through our developed process.
Most of our current customers all started by allowing us to send a price quote over for one part or product.
Once they saw our pricing could not be touched and then verified our quality, we eventually make almost all outsourced parts that they purchase. Our customers range from small mom and pop shops all the way to fortune 100 companies. Bacchus has low overhead and factory direct pricing, so we rarely have any price increases.
Our lead times are usually half of what our competitors are, and we are a flexible enough company that we have the options to solve issues quickly with creative responses, not long delays or rigid bureaucratic red tape that cannot be altered no matter the customers need. We fight for all our clients, and we win.
We would love the opportunity to submit a competitive price quote for all of your outsourced manufacturing.
Has it been a smooth road?
Every business has problems. Murphy’s Law stands everywhere.
It is not the problems that define a company, it is the agility and flexibility with which we react to and correct the problems, that defines the company.
Large businesses usually take on larger projects because they have the bandwidth, cash flow, and capacitance to handle the up front costs, R & D, and implementation. However, what happens when you have a problem with a big business? Well you have established processes and procedures that everyone follows for correct project and job flow, so that means even if there is a simple correction that can be made, it still needs to go through the correct process and could take days or weeks to have a solution that you would be able to approve and move on. With our business, we have established processes and procedures as well, however, we also have immediate paradigm shift flexibility. This allows us to brainstorm, offer solutions, and move on corrections within one to two business days. We have had a few instances where a customer changed a design after production parts had been approved and were in process. We were able to discuss the exact changes and needs of our customers the same day they were brought to our attention, determine the best set of options to present, verify our options with our production team, finalize and move on implementing changes the next day. We do not claim to be perfect, anyone who tells you that is lying. We do believe we are very adaptable, and this is an integral component in our success as a leader in the custom manufacturing industry.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
The Bacchus Company is a global manufacturer & importer of custom products and parts made from any metal, alloy, plastic, or composite material. In 2013 we partnered with factories that specialize in custom cable assemblies and electronics. We also provide product assembly as well as packaging per client specifications. Logistics support and warehousing are available across the USA for products we make.
We would be an excellent low-cost asset to your development, manufacturing, and distribution teams.
One of our greatest accomplishments for me was walking in Wal-Mart and seeing an entire end cap of an isle that was full of products that we make. That was huge!
Other company accomplishments include helping customers quickly, and effectively when they are in tough situations with issues unrelated to us. Unfortunately, this happens enough that we modified our own policies to anticipate necessary fast change over techniques.
We are a non-expensive, easy-going, flexible company to work with that always makes sure our customers are receiving the best service, and parts possible with each experience. We are available 6 days a week, if we can answer a call or message at any time of the day, we will. Even on Saturday.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Our city always appears to be expanding and changing which is a good thing.
I do not care for how the summers seem to drag on longer every year.
