Today we’d like to introduce you to Paola Miranda and Foek.
Paola and Foek, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
It all started with a little push. At first, I was really scared to try food’s I wasn’t used to until I got with my boyfriend (Food page partner). He talked me into trying most of the food and ingredients I’m in love with now! We started eating at several restaurants around the valley and thats when we figured out how much we loved food; So much that we traveled to Italy and Paris to try some of our favorite dishes the most authentic way. We always posted photos of our food on our social media pages when it looked extra scrumptious, just because we were really into the food. People were intrigued at our posts and always asked for details. Followers started coming to our pages just to see food, and we grew an audience. After a while, people would jokingly say “you guys should just make a food page” every time they’d ask us for info on photos. We figured it’d not only be a fun ‘project’, but also answer questions like locations and details of dishes people always asked for. Everyone always told us we make them hungry and want food, so we came up with the name” Food Fever ” for the page. Some spread baby fever, we spread FOOD FEVER. We never imagined it could, or would get this far, and we are forever thankful for it. What started as everyday posts of food that would annoy our followers, turned into a full adventure of friendships and food experiences!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The roads have been pretty smooth. We didn’t know this foodie world even existed. We eat and use social media every day, so like a selfie, it was always contributed to our day to day lives. Our biggest struggles had to have been running out of storage on our phones to take pictures, choosing which pictures to post, and followers saying we eat and post too much food.
Please tell us about Food Fever.
We really don’t look at FoodFever as a business or company. We love to try new foods and eat. It’s more of a hobby thats grown into a social page for the community. We specialize and are most known for our photos of food we take and post whenever we go out to eat. As a team, we are most proud of where this whole thing has taken us and how much we’ve grown. What sets us apart from others is we enjoy the food more than anything else. We love taking pictures and sharing them with our peers, but at the end of the day, we are foodies at heart. So don’t be surprised if you see a picture of a bitten pizza or a hand reaching for the food on our social media, we couldn’t wait!
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If we could start over knowing all this existed, we would have taken it serious to start off with. Other than that, we were just going out to eat. Nothing we could or would possibly change.
