Meet Paige Neely of Scottsdale, Arizona

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Neely.

Hi Paige, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
For starters, the business I built was inspired by my own personal experience of being privately tutored from 6th grade-college. My humble beginnings started in Fort Worth, Texas. School was a challenge for me, Attending many Summer schools, learning programs, my parents ultimately brought into my world a private tutors who worked with me almost every school night after my sports practices. There was a noticeable impact that my all of my tutors had in my life and the discoveries they came across. Each year, they helped me improve my mind and identified my specific learning style that ultimately grew my love for learning.

Leaving Texas, driving to the desert and studying in Arizona for four years, I successfully graduated from the University of Arizona May of 2016!

I entered into the corporate world as a young 23 year old recruiter for traveling doctors and nurses. After 3 months on the job, was promoted to a manager role. At the 1 year mark, I was offered a job opportunity on the sales team at ZipRecruiter, which I accepted and became a leading sales representative for my team.

However, as a young 24 year old, I longed to do something, something that would change the world around me. I took a leap of faith, left corporate with a decent cushion of money, skill sets and courage. Waiving my colleagues goodbye, I threw up a peace sign as I exited the door and said “See ya, I’m going to go be famous and change the world”. I probably could’ve been a bit more reserved but I was hungry for a new way or life.

In the interim of finding my calling, I took a job as a part time nanny/tutor of two twin 7th grade girls and wow did I learn a lot!

Switching roles of student to tutor, the wheels began to turn and that’s when the idea to start a business hit me. January of 2018, I hired my first tutor and began as I say “duplicating myself” and finding other families needing the same services as I myself was providing already to the 7th grade girls. And off to the races!

At the start, many people didn’t take me very seriously. As a young woman with no background in business or education, it wasn’t as easy to get approved by not only families but tutors I was interested in working with. I learned a lot about what it took to build a company from the ground up and man did I love every second of it. What I continually stood on, was my faith to carry me to today. I care about protecting families and building up children to become confident in themselves and because of that, I believe all of that gave my business a voice.

With a background in recruiting and sales along with my Creative Writing degree, I compiled all of the necessary skillsets to build a business that would ultimate serve others well.

My hearts desire is to do God’s will in the way He has gifted me and I strongly believe He has given me the ability to serve. He supplied me with the right tools along my life to do just that. I knew how tutoring not only built my confidence as a student but how it brought my family closer. My excitement as a student about my educational journey eventually led to sharing those tips and tricks to my tutoring team now.

Paige’s Tutoring has become the leading pioneer in the tutor -to- student matching system since 2018 in the Valley. I have gathered an amazing team of dedicated tutors who love their students and families well. We are a customer centric business who cares deeply about making a difference to the family units. Through the many years, we continue to grow in numbers and have extended our services as far as Texas and Florida. My hope is to bring joy to homes through education and to offer teachers the ability to spread their light and knowledge to the younger generations.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would say yes and no. Yes because I enjoy the challenge of building something worth while but the biggest struggle was building my team. Finding tutors who were dedicated to the mission and not soley seeking personal motives was my biggest challenge. I care about my team presenting themselves whole-heartedly and delivering their best at all times. Learning the business world was a bit of a struggle in the since of how many hours I took studying the way of the land, but like mentioned before, it was a joy to me ever step of the way.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am the founder of a private tutoring service that works with families across the valley to help their students match with qualified tutors.

I’m proud of my ability to work closely with families and my team, creating personal relationships, making the experiences of our services enjoyable.

What sets Paige’s Tutoring apart is the consistency of our tutoring sessions and our ability to follow a student through their entire educational career as long as they need us and I believe families value that.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I am always seeking partnership with other tutoring services in Arizona, specifically with those who work with students that my team is not accessible to. I do love collaborations with people who are either private sports coaches looking to expand their services to families and product lines such as local businesses that would be intriguing to my clientele.
