Meet Paige Elliott of Intermixx Brand Management in Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Elliott.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Paige. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I always had a love for the communications and media world. In college, I was a student athlete, producer and host of two campus TV shows, radio host, and a sports color analyst. I have always had a passion for storytelling and for people. After graduating with a communications degree in Broadcast Journalism, I never landed the big “dream job” as a TV Anchor that I wanted and I became completely discouraged. I didn’t understand how I never received a call back from the hundreds of news outlets I applied to. That rejection caused me to lose my confidence. I thought, “Maybe I was chasing the wrong dream?” As a plan B, I started working many different jobs in the communications field from marketing, sales, and management. However, I never felt I was fully utilizing my potential in those roles. I later learned that God wanted me to sharpen my skills, build a well-rounded foundation, and create my own lane! He has another plan for me, much greater than the plan I have for myself!

I later was introduced to Public Relations and working with professional athletes as a publicist, generating press coverage and managing events. Because of my love for broadcast journalism and sports, I became interested in this side of the media and went back to school for my Master’s degree in PR.

Fast forward, in 2016, my best friend and business partner, Kayla Washington, and I put all of our talents together and my company Intermixx Brand Management was born. I’ve been introduced to the world of entrepreneurship and have learned to walk in confidence and embrace my God-given talents and the journey!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There were many struggles at every level of the journey, but the main struggle came from the limits and boundaries I put on myself. I allowed rejection and denial to clutter my mind and get in my own way. I put myself on a lot of different detours within my career from first not believing in my full potential!

However, I thank God for holding my hand and helping me grow through every step of the way. He allowed every lesson to shape me into being the woman I am today, and I thank him for never giving up on me and helping me rise to new levels!

Let’s Dive into Your Business’s – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am not a fan of “titles” or being put in a box. I wear many hats! But I would say I am a Creator, Storyteller, Brand Specialist, and a Speaker.

By Day, I am an employment branding consultant for a global company.

By night, I am a co-founder of Intermixx Brand Management with my business partner, Kayla Washington. Intermixx is a boutique branding and consulting firm. Our clients consist of entrepreneurs and individuals within the professional sports, fashion, and entertainment industries, looking to cultivate and differentiate their brands. We specialize in Brand Strategy and Cohesion Consulting, Public Relations, Social Media Strategy, Philanthropic Communications, Event Management and Curation. If you are in the fields listed above and are in need of brand consultation, please reach out to us! Outside of branding, I am passionate about helping others get out of their own way in order to reach their full potential! My love for self- improvement has led me to speaking engagements and creating personal development workshops and events.

What sets me apart is my ability to be relatable, authentic, and transparent throughout my journey. As a creator, it is my mission to tell these stories by one day, creating a platform to empower others and give them the resources to succeed.

Is there something we can do as a city to improve the outlook for businesses like yours?
When I first moved to Arizona three years ago from the east coast, my answer would be NO! I didn’t feel like Arizona was the right market because I didn’t see others working in the same space as me. I also didn’t feel that this was an environment for creatives, entrepreneurs, influencers, and sports and media professionals. I simply didn’t see or know any like-minded individuals who thought and/or “looked like me”. However, I’ve learned that Arizona is the perfect place with a lot of growth opportunity! Why be a small fish in a big pond when I can be a big fish in a small pond? In Arizona, I can create my own lane and work towards making a difference in this city! God put me here to be a light for others and to make an impact and there is so much exciting work to be done in this city!
