Today we’d like to introduce you to Nuvia Magdahi.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Nuvia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve been a creative all my life. I have always practiced the Arts; drawing, painting, photography, sewing, fashion, film, hair and at some point loved ceramics. It’s hard to categorize myself in one lane when I have done so much in the creative/ entertainment industry that I like to think of myself as “Creative Visual Artist’. I started as a professional model, then transition into wardrobe styling while I attended the Art Institute, later studied photography and practiced it, soon after I got my cosmetology license and started doing hair professionally as well.
All skills that I’ve acquired through time fall under the same fashion industry creative umbrella, just different outlets. As the artist that I am, I can not be held down to one ‘routine job’, I enjoy doing different creative work in one week, stimulates my mind. Currently, I work mainly on sets of film, production and photoshoot campaigns, whether thats doing hair, wardrobes styling or shooting photography myself. I work behind the chair a few days a week at Studio. On my off time, I recharge by going on adventures, whether that’s a road trip or planning a trip outside the country. My curiosity for culture and the world itself, it’s endless.
Nevertheless, I am grateful for all the opportunities I have had in my career, which may have allowed me to travel and gain new life experiences.
Has it been a smooth road?
Most of the time, due to life circumstances, we are placed in a position where we are forced to make a change. That’s where we gain the fire to conquer the challenges that come with the bumpy ride. Having to learn the English language was quite a bumpy ride for me, till this day there are words I can not pronounce correctly.
As far as the industry struggles, I am very much an introvert; therefore, networking and socializing was such a struggle for me, I’d force myself to interact. I got better with time. Thankfully I am good at marketing and creating; I believe thats what saved me in
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Magdahi – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.

Honestly, every person I have met throughout my creative journey has pushed me to either think differently or inspired me to do differently in one way or another.
