Meet Nicole DAgostino of Events by Nicole Monea in Surprise

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole DAgostino.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I began my event planning business back in 2007 under Nikki’s Creative Designs. I have always had a passion for planning and creating successful events. At the height of my business success, I was blessed to be featured in 3 publications of Arizona Weddings. In 2009 after some health issues I decided to take a break from balancing corporate work and small business and return to corporate America full time. After several years in corporate America, raising four beautiful children, sports, high school, graduations and now college, I am now in a position to re-launch my business and do something that I truly love doing. So in October of 2016 I re-launched my event planning business, Events by Nicole Monea. The re-launch has been successful because this time around the correct steps were taken to put everything into place to ensure my success. Events by Nicole Monea is an event planning company that offers full, partial, day of, and as needed consulting service for any event. My goal is to be able to walk away from the corporate scene in 5 years to run my business full time. The end goal is to create a business that I am able to leave to my children one day.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The re-launch of my business has been a learning process for me.  The networking and clientele-building piece has been a valuable learning lesson which I can honestly say was not done properly previously. This time around I have been blessed to connect and network with some amazing vendors who genuinely support my dream and want to ensure that I am successful by mentoring, educating and providing resources to help me go to the next level. As far as the clients, I am happy to assist each and every client that I work with. The learning process for establishing my clientele has been a somewhat smooth road for me. While I want to be able to satisfy each and every client that I interact with I also have to remember that this is my business and I need to ensure that I am continuously setting realistic expectations for my clients and myself to achieve success with each and every event. What I have to remember is while I want to leave my clients happy and pleased with the vision that I delivered for their event, I am also here to generate revenue as well.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Events by Nicole Monea story. Tell us more about the business.
Events by Nicole Monea, is unique when it comes to wedding and event planning services. I pride myself on adding my personal touches, which comes straight from the personalities of the clients that I work with. It’s not about replicating a style but exploring ideas and planning a “dream event” that is truly one of a kind.

What sets me apart from other event planning companies is that I am a one-stop shop.   I have been blessed to work with numerous vendors from: venues, hair, make-up, flowers, music, photography, wedding party attire, desserts and travel.  Also, not only to I plan events, but I also specialize in custom invitation designs for any event and floral design. Yes, I have outside resources but I also have the ability to create in house too.

It’s always a thrill to see my client’s smile. Even more so, knowing that I played a role in what is surely to be one of the most memorable and beautiful moments for their lives.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I do not used the word “luck ” but rather the word “blessed” in my life and my business. I believe through the power of prayer and my faith I have been blessed to meet individuals that have played a major role to my success in life and my business. Each and every relationship that I have encountered both in my life and business is genuine and real and the center of each for me is GOD. Anytime I make a decision in my life and my business, I go to GOD for guidance and direction to ensure that I remain right in all that I do.

  • “It’s A Grand Affair” A Month Before Service.    This service is offered to clients who have completed a majority of their planning needs a just require some additional help. Package price $1550.
  • “It’s Time to Celebrate” Day of Coordination Service.  This is a service that does just that provide our clients day of assistance to ensure your event runs a smoothly and stress-free for them. Package price $1050.
  • “Inspiration by the Hour” Event Planning/ Consulting– This is a service that provides as needed support during any stage of the event planning process.  Package price $75.00 hourly.
