Today we’d like to introduce you to Nelson Gonzalez.

Nelson, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
The company was handed over to me by a friend who had been running the business and was moving to New York to do voluntary work. From there, Desert Moon Maintenance became Desert Moon Window Cleaning. Before starting with the business, I had been working a 9-5 at Khalil Bottling Company. We started off small with doing only commercial work and now, we have expanded to residential and two-three story buildings.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not having previous experience in owning a business has been a learning process. From building a website to hiring employees, it has been all part of the learning curve.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Desert Moon Window Cleaning – what should we know?
We are a window cleaning company, we specialize in commercial storefronts, commercial buildings, and residential window cleaning. We clean the glass, screens, tracks, door frames and mirrors. We have very competitive prices and currently have the most reviews locally on Google. Our company is family owned. We try and treat every job as if it’s our last. We customize every quote and give our customers the best attention they deserve.

Do you feel luck has played a role in your life?
Just the fact that our very special friend was able to hand me a business that I wasn’t familiar with at all, I had no idea this type of business existed before and there were a lot of people he could have handed it to, so we are very grateful he decided to hand it over to us.
