Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathan Leidigh.
Nathan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Before real estate, I was in the service industry right in the heart of Tempe on Mill Ave. I was encouraged to give real estate a shot by my then girlfriends family, who are realtors in CA. They noticed my customer service skills and people-oriented approach would transfer well to a career like R.E., So I left my management position to pursue real estate. I joined a real estate team that was part of the Tom Ferry Network and Keller Williams. I knew joining those two companies alone would help educate me about the best practices for a realtor. That all took place in 2014. Six years later, a lot has changed! I am an individual agent with a full-time assistant working with Keller Williams still.
I have had the pleasure to partner with some of the best venders in Arizona, which consist of Contractors, Lenders, Title, Home Inspectors, Pool/Landscape companies, etc. And I love when my clients ask me for a referral! Since 2014 I have helped launch programs like AZ Military Home Source, which was essentially a no-cost move in for active military, veterans and their families (dd214 required). I also have worked extensively with government grant loan programs and understand how to negotiate terms that allow my clients to buy a home for less than 1% out of pocket. It’s exciting to help a young family or life-long renter achieve the dream of homeownership!
My current business is focused on helping homeowners sell for the most amount of money, in the quickest amount of time and with little hassle. I provide commission package options that allow the seller to pick their fee and our agreements can be a short as 30 days where most brokers are 180. It is my opinion that we should earn a 6th-month agreement after 30 days and not be given it! I am committed to transparency, honesty and professionalism without compromise.
Personally, real estate was the best move of my life. The restaurant business had terrible, long, late hours. Real estate is definitely not an m-f 9-5, but the schedule did allow me to start a family and marry my beautiful wife Cierra! We now have two girls, Logan 2.5 and Andi 6 months. They are my WHY and my drive everyday. Cierra and I got married in Sedona. She is my counterbalance in life and continues to humble me and drive me at the same time. We also have two dogs, Rocksee and Colby.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been smoother the longer my career. But there are always struggles. Learning how to be a business owner was probably the most difficult. Budgeting, saving for taxes, switching from PLLC to S-Corp, hiring an employee or an agent, insurance, etc.
The smooth part about my career is that I was coached really well at the beginning of it and it allows my skills/knowledge to grow fast! It was really cool! I still am amazed at what I know today vs what I thought I knew last year!
Alright – so let’s talk business. What else should we know about you and your career so far?
I kind of touched upon this in the other section. I have a business referral network I didn’t talk about with over 30 business owners in it. I am the former president. It is great to have an amazing network of professionals I can refer too. Range from Doctors-Florist-chiro-bankers-lenders. I am know for transparency, honesty and professionalism without compromise =) We use a lot of technology. Our clients receive a monthly home evaluation for their home using an AI feature. It’s really cool!
There are a lot of real estate teams out there. I have been apart of them! My service is a little different and more personal. Since I am an individual agent, I am always your point of contact. Where-as on a traditional team or iBuyer, you get passed around from one department to the next. Both systems work!
During COVID-19, we immediately enabled virtual tours and open houses for all our sellers! This allows the shopper to virtually walk through the home without being there.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I am originally from Kansas. We had a creek in my backyard that my sister and friends would always play in! Capture the flag, tag, etc. I would also go on family fishing trips to Wisconsin. Tubing, bass fishing, skiing. Those are some of the best memories I have with all my siblings (four others), parents and grandparents. Sports were always a big part of my life. I played everything as a kid. Karate, wrestling, football, baseball, swimming, diving, basketball, tennis, track.
