Meet Nate Scott and James Meehan of Eastpointe High School in Tucson, South Phoenix and Mesa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nate Scott and James Meehan.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We began our journey with Eastpointe High School in 2019. After taking the school over and adding more options for our students, we are now an A-Rated school by the Arizona Board of Education. We have our Traditional campus located in Tucson and satellite campuses located in Tucson, South Phoenix and Mesa. We will be opening more satellite campuses throughout Arizona.

Our main campus located in Tucson is our traditional campus. It serves our students grades 9-12. Our students have on-campus options for direct instruction and online (blended learning).

Our satellite campuses are referred to as our Rise Up Program. Rise Up is our hybrid program that serves our students that are between the ages of 16-21.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I believe our biggest obstacles/challenges are getting the students to believe in their full potential when we first get them. After the students realize their success in the classroom, we want them to believe they can be successful in life.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Eastpointe High School – what should we know?
We are an alternative high school that help at-risk youth get their high school diploma.
