Today we’d like to introduce you to Nadine Bubeck
Hi Nadine, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I never set out to follow a traditional path—I’ve always chased passion over predictability. My journey began in the fast-paced world of TV news, making $7 an hour anchoring in Yuma, before landing a dream reporting job at FOX 5 San Diego. Eventually, I made the move to the Valley, the place I proudly call home, where I spent four years on the morning show at Channel 5 in Phoenix.
Then, becoming a mom changed everything. My first pregnancy was rather rocky, and overcome with the magnitude of motherhood, it became clear that continuing at Channel 5 wasn’t in the cards. That shift led me to explore entrepreneurship, content creation, and media strategy in ways I never expected. Staying immersed in media, I became a parenting and lifestyle contributor on TV airwaves across the country, diving into PR, social media, and marketing, while also reconnecting with my passion of writing.
In December 2024, I took over as the owner and publisher of Paradise Valley City Lifestyle, a monthly lifestyle magazine at the heart of Scottsdale-Phoenix. While print remains our foundation, I value our strong multimedia platform—one that entertains, enlightens, inspires, engages, and educates.
Most recently, I launched a nationally syndicated podcast, sharing unfiltered, beyond-the-pages interviews with big names in sports, entertainment, and business. The conversations are candid, fun, and real, mirroring the storytelling I’ve always loved.
My journey hasn’t been a straight path—it’s been a series of pivots, risks, and reinventions. And the best part? The story is still being written.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth roads are boring. My mom always taught me to take the road less traveled, and I’ve come to appreciate that a bumpy road can be beautiful. Taking over a magazine was a huge undertaking, and bringing it to where it is today has been no small feat. But when you pour blood, sweat, tears, heart, and soul into something you love—magic happens. Sure, there have been struggles, moments of doubt, and plenty of highs and lows—but that’s life. I could name a million challenges I’ve faced along the way, and I know there will be more ahead. But I choose to see obstacles as opportunities. More than anything, I value leading by example for my boys—showing them resilience, adaptability, and the power of pushing forward. Struggles aren’t setbacks; they’re part of the journey.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a former TV news anchor turned all-things mama—and momming always comes first. But I’ve also always needed a sense of self. Now that my kids are in school, I get to pour my energy into something that fuels me—creativity, connection, and storytelling. Balancing motherhood with a career I love isn’t always easy, but it’s something I take pride in. My work allows me to lead by example, showing my boys what it means to pursue passion with purpose.
As the owner and publisher of Paradise Valley City Lifestyle, I get to blend storytelling with community, shining a light on the people, businesses, and brands that make our area so special. While print is the foundation, I’ve expanded our reach through digital, social, and curated events, creating opportunities for real engagement and impact.
Beyond the magazine, I host Now with Nadine, my nationally syndicated podcast, streaming on all nationwide platforms. It’s where I take conversations beyond the pages, sitting down with dynamic names in sports, entertainment, and business for candid, unfiltered discussions. It’s storytelling at its core—personal, raw, and real.
What sets me apart is simple—authenticity, experience, and a deep-rooted desire to connect and uplift others. With my background in TV journalism and media, I understand how to craft stories that don’t just promote but truly resonate. But more than that, I genuinely care—about our partners, our community, and the stories we tell. I don’t just place stories—I nurture them, helping brands and individuals find their voice, message, and audience.
At the end of the day, I don’t just run a magazine—I create experiences, conversations, and connections that extend beyond the pages. Whether it’s through editorial storytelling, exclusive events, or Now with Nadine, my goal is always the same: to inspire, to elevate, and to bring people together in the most meaningful way possible.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about living in the Valley is that it truly feels like home—in every sense of the word. My husband is a true Arizonan, which gives our family an even deeper connection to this place. And for me? Scottsdale is the longest I’ve ever lived anywhere. It’s where I got married, had my kids, and built a village of friends who have become family.
Our neighborhood is a dream—streets filled with families, kids freely riding their bikes, and schools that don’t just educate but truly care and foster. It’s a place where community matters, where people look out for one another, and where generosity runs deep. The philanthropic spirit here is incredible, and I see it in the way people rally for causes, support small businesses, and show up for each other.
I also love that Arizona has a bit of a Wild West spirit, which resonates with me. It’s a place of opportunity, reinvention, and growth—and clearly, the world has noticed, because everyone seems to be moving here! And, of course, I can’t forget my love for our sports teams.
At the end of the day, the Valley isn’t just where I live—it’s where I’ve put down roots.
