Hi Miranda, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey started from a deeply personal place—I was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate, which shaped so much of my early life. Growing up, I often felt different and struggled with self-confidence. It took me over two decades to unlearn comparison and embrace my own unique beauty. That experience gave me a deep understanding of how powerful self-love is, and led me to the work I do today.

Originally my background was in fashion and costume design, but after I had my very own boudoir session, I started working with the previous owner of Le Boudoir Studio, and realized how truly transformative this experience is.

Fast forward to today, I’ve been running Le Boudoir Studio since 2022, based here in Phoenix, helping women reclaim their confidence through intimate, personal photography experiences. My studio has grown into more than just a business—it’s a community. From our private women’s group to the incredible clients who come through my doors, it’s truly all about connection, self-love, and empowerment.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think the challenges have made the journey even more meaningful. A lot of things have changed within the boudoir niche these past few years, so there is a constant need to embrace change and learn how to overcome it. I also had to learn how to balance everything—running a business, and making time for my own well-being. There are still moments I stretch myself too thin, but these challenges teach me the importance of setting boundaries and focusing on what truly matters. I try and practice what I tell my audience, too!

On a personal level, growing up with a bilateral cleft lip and palate shaped my perspective on beauty and confidence. I know what it’s like to struggle with self-worth, which is why I pour so much into creating a space where women feel seen, valued, and empowered. Boudoir is deeply personal work, and while it can be emotionally heavy at times, it’s also incredibly rewarding. Seeing a client transform before my eyes—walking in with nerves and walking out with confidence—makes every challenge worth it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m the owner and photographer at Le Boudoir Studio, where I specialize in boudoir photography that helps women feel confident, empowered, and beautiful in their own skin. For over 13 years, LBS has created a space where clients can celebrate themselves—whether they’re stepping out of their comfort zones, marking a milestone, or simply reclaiming their confidence. My work is more than just taking photos; it’s about creating an experience that reminds women of their worth.

I’m most proud of the impact my work has on my clients. Many women walk into my studio feeling nervous or unsure, but by the end of their session, they see themselves in a whole new way. I’ve had clients tell me their boudoir experience was life-changing, and that, to me, is everything. What sets me apart is my attention to detail, my ability to create a comfortable and judgment-free environment, and my personal understanding of what it means to struggle with confidence.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is helping people feel seen, valued, and confident in who they are. I know what it’s like to struggle with self-worth and feel like you don’t fit into traditional beauty standards. Growing up with a bilateral cleft lip and palate, I spent years learning to accept myself, and now, I get to help others do the same.

Confidence is life-changing. When someone sees themselves in a new light—when they truly recognize their beauty and potential—it ripples into every part of their life. That’s why I do what I do.
