Meet Micole Neely of Aafiyya DBA Liquivida Wellness Center Phoenix

Today we’d like to introduce you to Micole Neely.

My journey into medicine started at age four, helping my dad deliver puppies. After rushing through undergrad while moonlighting as an ER tech, life took me on quite an adventure. I’ve cried over sick kids in Bolivia, had my appendix out in New Zealand, and scrubbed floors in a Mexican orphanage.

In 2020, I was at the frontlines of a COVID field hospital in California, learning the power of personal connections in medicine. To up my game, I decided to get an MBA at Grand Canyon University.

All these experiences taught me the value of teamwork and adaptability. Armed with an MD and MBA, I’m ready to tackle the ever-changing world of healthcare. That childhood spark still drives me today.

My journey has been far from a walk in the park. Over the past 15 years, I’ve been hustling as an independent contractor, dedicating countless hours and racking up miles on the road to accumulate experience. In today’s economy, with rising inflation, I’ve had to juggle my contract work while launching a new business, which often left me stretched thin. Finding balance has been a real learning curve, teaching me the art of equilibrium and self-compassion.

On top of all this, I’m a proud single parent to an amazing 5-year-old boy. My heart goes out to all single moms dealing with similar challenges. Managing both business and motherhood often feels like handling the workload of about ten jobs at once. It’s a shared struggle for many.

Throughout this rollercoaster, I’ve been lucky to have an incredible family, solid friends, and some exceptional mentors by my side. My journey has been a mix of trials, humbling moments, and moments of fulfillment and satisfaction that keep me going.

I’d say the characteristic I value the most is perseverance, combined with patience. Life has thrown its fair share of challenges at all of us, and embracing these trials has shaped my character. It’s given me the ability to navigate obstacles while staying steadfast in pursuing my passions.
