Michelle is a fun, smart, sassy, creative and humble artist. Monica is a sensitive, hilarious, intuitive and magnetic GIA Graduate Gemologist.

While working together in the jewelry industry, the two of them were longing for a creative outlet. That is when they decided to put together a collection of trendy, everyday fine and fashion jewelry pieces catering to young and modern women.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Although there are many challenges when starting and growing a new business, it has been a pretty smooth road. We have gotten a lot of support from family, friends and the community, as well as from each other. Because of our hard work and dedication, we grow each and every day and embrace the challenges that come our way.

Modern Mood Jewelry is an online based retail store that specializes in simple, modern everyday fine and fashion jewelry. What sets us apart from other online stores is that we feature up and coming designers and artists that do not have a local presence. Aside from our website, we love doing trunk shows, styling for events and individuals and hosting private jewelry parties. When doing these events, we look to create a community and overall lifestyle brand.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Each of us has very different qualities and characteristics, but what is most important to our success is our unwavering trust and confidence in each other. Our foundation is anchored in spreading love and positive energy, caring about others and being part of the community.
