Meet Michele Peterson of iCryoaz in Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michele Peterson.

Michele, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started out many years ago, with competing in Triathlons, I decide to hang my gear up and dive into something that was a lot easier on my joints. So then I decided to give weights a try and wanted to compete on stage. I was in the gym 6-7 days a week and worked very hard in developing muscle. But as I aged, there were these problem areas that just wouldn’t go away no matter how hard I trained and how strict my diet was. I tried everything, from creams to changing personal trainers and changing the way I eat. I started focusing on growing
muscle to help tighten up the skin, but it still didn’t go away completely! After speaking to my trainer, Charles Curtis from cx2, he told me that there was this new technique now in the valley that I should try, which is Cryotherapy, Wow! For me, I saw immediate results! So, I went back for a second treatment on my face to help with fine lines and skin tone, and I was wowed once more! That is when I knew I
had to get involved with this cold therapy technique!!!

After experiencing the wow factor, I knew I had to let others know about this, and that’s when I decided to purchase the T-Shock and start up my own business. I love helping people, I’m a through and through “people pleaser,” and when I realized that I can help people feel better about themselves through cold therapy it was a no brainer for me! I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and when I look back on my life so far, on everything I have done up to today, I truly believe it has lead me here, and I’ve been just prepping all these years to do what I am doing now! This is my true love, especially when I see all my clients reactions after each procedure! You may come to me as a first-time client, but you leave as a friend!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting this business didn’t seem hard because everything just fell into place easily! I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason! I guess if I have to name something, it would have to be social media and the app world!!! I had some knowledge when it came to my personal use but not with a new business, so, therefore, I hired a marketing gal, Angela, and she was able to hold my hand throughout this process. I knew I had to get the word out about this new technology because it’s only been in the US less than a year and there are only a few of the units in the valley that is exactly like mine! I leaned on my husband a lot because he’s a master at opening a new business and expanding! I thank God for him every day! He handles all the legal stuff that has to do with my business. So he probably has a different outlook on it being easy lol! A lot of people gets me confused with Cool Sculpting or those walk-in chambers, but that’s not what I do at all. My technique is different, and the whole experience is too. I’m pretty new still, and I’m still growing, and I’m sure there will be more bumps in the road, but for now, all is good!!!! I’m really looking forward to letting people know about iCryoaz, beauty below sub-zero!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about iCryoaz – what should we know?
I’m a Cryotherapy Specialist, and I help people be the best they can be! I’m hands-on with a unit called the T-Shock 3.0 by Pagani and focus on problem areas that people have. Cellulite removal, Fat Burning, Toning, Tightening of the skin, Fine Lines and Wrinkles. I also help with sore areas on the body and so much more! This unique body contouring treatment uses thermal shock to naturally kill fat cells and smooth out cellulite. Gives definition to problem areas that don’t react to diet and exercise. It stimulates collagen and elastin production for healthier glow and a more youthful appearance. I know that this technique works because I use it myself, and I see instant results! I think what sets me apart from everyone else is that I have tons of knowledge and experience in the fitness world. I live, eat, and breathe fitness! I also can give advice on eating healthy because I’m a certified Raw Food Chef for 11 years now! I believe, because of my age, that I can relate to people and how they look at themselves. I understand the struggle in trying to make the body respond because I had the same issues!

What have been some of the most important lessons you’ve learned over the course of your career?
Hmmm, I’m not sure I would have done anything differently! Because I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason! There is always good in the bad if that makes sense?! But if I had to list one thing, then I would say, knowing about this procedure earlier!
