Meet Michael Marcinko of Phoenix

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Marcinko.

Hi Michael, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Photography was always an interest but it became a passion after going through a divorce and hiking 1,500 a year throughout Arizona … it was a way for me document my physical journey while also healing on my emotional and psychological journey

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Smooth road? Never! It’s the bumpy roads and struggles that created the person I am today and the amazing views I get to capture with my camera … Life, like photography, is a beautiful mix of light and darkness and there cannot be one without the other

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As a photographer, I love chasing light and capturing people and within special moments. I am known for my fun photo sessions, there are many people who dislike getting their photos taken and I do my best to help them relax and have fun. My landscape photos are rich and vibrant, just like this amazing state we live in. I am most proud of following my passion and not succumbing to doing something because it’s easy. Starting a full time photography business is tough, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
